Bill Clinton Speaking

The Telegraph:

Bill Clinton is so bitter about Barack Obama's victory over his wife Hillary that he has told friends the Democratic nominee will have to beg for his wholehearted support.

Mr Obama is expected to speak to Mr Clinton for the first time since he won the nomination in the next few days, but campaign insiders say that the former president's future campaign role is a "sticking point" in peace talks with Mrs Clinton's aides.

The Telegraph has learned that the former president's rage is still so great that even loyal allies are shocked by his patronising attitude to Mr Obama, and believe that he risks damaging his own reputation by his intransigence.

A senior Democrat who worked for Mr Clinton has revealed that he recently told friends Mr Obama could "kiss my ass" in return for his support.

I would love Al Gore to come out and say what a dick Bill is being. And that's the reason Gore lost on 2000.

Bitter, bitter into the night!

Question: Did Bill's "support" ko Hillary's chance at the presidency?

Bill's already irreparably damaged his reputation this election thanks to his antics in the primary.

He can kiss my a$$ now if ever expects me to vote for his wife in future election.

Please rethink your comment... It isn't fair to blame Hillary for the stuff that Bill says a continent away. Heck, she couldn't control him when they were sharing the same House. And remember the old Kingston Trio line..."Do not muddy the waters around you...you may have to drink it soon..." or something like that.

Okay, I'll rethink it.

Done.

No, screw the Clintons. I've had enough of their antics.

That's the thing - their careers will never be separate. It's a package deal.

Bill's become both volatile and uncompromising in an unsettling way. Maybe his health is not so good.

I don't blame Bill one bit for still being angry, if this is true. He has always been a friend to the African American community, and Obama very shrewdly eroded that relationship by playing the race card.

How did Obama play the "race card?"

He was to be a "friend" to all Americans, not just black americans. I never bought into the "hype" about Bill anyway. One hand washes the other. Black America stood by Bill and all his baggage too. If it weren't for us, he probably would have been tossed out on his a$$. In addition, lots of black men were incarcerated under Bill Clinton too and the sentences were much harsher, which facilitated the "planned" destruction of the black family along with the welfare policies. The black community is just now trying to get undone what he helped facilitate. The President is to work for all of the people. If a country prospers, then all citizens should prosper. Bill Clinton and what he did for black folks is a FAIRYTALE!

As an African American, I find that your statement is a bunch of crap. Bill took the statement that he was the first African American president as a license to say anything, and African Americans would look past it. You are just another apologist for the Clintons, ready to forgive them for anything that they do. I believe that Bill said this and im my eyes, he is just another old politician who will not go away becuase he thanks that he is bigger that the Democratic Party. I find that Clinton Supporters tend to emphasize Sen. Obama's race more that Conservatives.

Riiiight, becaus it was O that noted "JJ won in SC too". Or that O's campaing was just a fairy tale? Yea... right.

Billyboy made his bed, now he has to sleep in it. Sad too, because he USED to be a respectable ex-Prez. Now he's just another stooge.

Obama played the race card?

When? Did he have his hand up Bill Clinton's ass back in South Carolina?

He's quite a convincing ventriloquist.

Bill Clinton--becoming more and more solipsistic and irrelevant with each passing day. Good riddance.

Everytime I think I can't lose any more respect for Bill Clinton, he gives me a reason to lower my regard.

Obama's victory dealt a triple defeat to Bill. Obama bested Bill at campaign strategy and made the Clintons look like amateurs. Obama bested the infamous Clinton fund raising machine (and did so without selling his soul to corporatists and lobbyists). Obama has replaced Bill as head of the Democratic party (if Hillary had won, Bill could have remained head of the party for at least twelve more years). Generally, Obama knocked Bill off his throne. Perhaps this is less about racism (although Bill probably is a bigot) and more about being a bad loser.

Agree. But, don't you think it would behove Bill to fix it with AA's first, and then pretend "his" a^s has been kissed by them!? I mean who in america are more "forgiving" than AA's!!?

I have to love some of these not so nice comments about Bill. Seems like just the other day he was
the liberal darling who could do no wrong.
You neolibs are a pack of wolves but I must admit that I love to see him beat to a pulp.
He deserves it.

Well, he can kiss mine as well. I am sick of all this whining and hand holding.

We need to move on to the General Election, with or without the losers.

I think Bill is showing his "true colors" and should be politely ignored. It is unfortunate the Democrats have him in the pre-rlection mix, as the Republicans have Romney. Arrogance and self image are qualities Bush has shown to be quite destructive for all involved.

The problem is that this is so plausible that it's got a life of it's own.

Bill's really gotta come out big for the nominee to have any chance of this being dispelled.
