Hillary Clinton's former Campaign Chair Terry McAuliffe is insisting there's no bad blood between Bill Clinton and Barack Obama despite a report that Clinton said Obama can "kiss my ass." McAuliffe told CNN, "This man doesn't stay mad. He can get mad for 24 hours. It's his Irish ancestry." McAuliffe also said the Clinton and Obama would meet in the next few days. Read more below:

Sen. Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton are expected to meet in the next few days, according to the chairman of Sen. Hillary Clinton's unsuccessful presidential bid.

Terry McAuliffe said the former president was angered by media reports suggesting he bore a grudge against Obama after the sometimes bruising primary campaign and did not plan to actively support Obama in the general election.

UNITY is great !

The article quotes an anonymous source who does not even claim to have spoken to Clinton. Instead, the source says he spoke to someone who spoke to the former President.

That is known as gossip. The tabloid standard of the Huffington Post.
Of course all the Clitnon haters here take it as gospel.

Is'nt that the truth ???
Always rushing to spread the gossip , but totally unwilling to accept a FACT .

That kind of UNITY makes it very difficult to back O bama ,but they love their hate so much they can't control their mouths . (even to help O bama win )

Um hum . . . . . . . Sorry, but you could not be further from the truth.

Of course, you were more than willing to accept any negative remarks about BO that floated around. You jumped on those as if they were the gospel truth.

Sorry to be off topic, screeners, but how about General Clark's savage ripping of John McCain's war record? (The topic isn't being covered by HuffPost today.)

Sounds like a one man swift boating to me. How about you? Why not open it for discussion?

So what is a POW's experience ... torture? How did Mc forget that experience!?

Highly regarded liberal pundit Bob Beckel said, "General Clark, shut up!"

There's no way Clark can do anything but badly hurt Obama.

You are a swift boater in reverse: how can you not see that?

Nope. It wasn't swift boating. I can see how one might view Gen. Clark's comments as dissing Sen. McCain's patriotism, but they contained substance - he just didn't put things in the right sequence.

Sen. McCain is the wrong hero for the wrong time.

If there's one consistent military lesson, it's that new technologies trump old technologies (and along with them old civilizations). Chief Crazy Horse was a courageous and inspirational leader. Yet put his warriors up against a bomb-carrying drone guided by an AWAC and they'd be toast.

Gen. McCain was raised in a military family. He flew jets. He survived the Hanoi Hilton. He deserves praise for his tenacity and heroism. But he is still a creature of "old warfare" (which relied on overwhelming military superiority).

The Iraq debacle is an example of old warfare gone wrong. Even our most recent gains there were less from the Surge (i.e. "more soldiers") and more from more nuanced tactics like coalescing with the Sunnis and small-unit outreach into the 'hoods.

We live in a more complicated world today - where nations compete on different fronts and cooperate on others. Where violent threats come from hard-to-identify enemies who transcend geographic borders. Where the biggest threat to our national security is competiton for resources growing ever scarcer. Where an educated workforce is as important a weapon in modern "warfare" as a bomb.

Barack Obama uses a Blackberry. John McCain hasn't yet figured out e-mail.

End of story.

This information put out by Terry McAuliffe is propaganda. Read the article from the Telegraph UK . This is a perfect example of how you have to balance every iota of information you read.

OK, let me see if I understand this. BC got mad at the O campaign because they accused him of racial stereotyping. We all saw BC get mad at the media repeatedly during the campaign. Then the media reported that BC is still mad at O.

Then Terry "Baghdad Bob" McAuliffe claims that the media reports claiming that BC is mad made BC mad.

And McAuliffe uses an ethnic stereotype about the Irish to explain why BC gets mad so easily.

Why should there be bad blood between Clinton and Obama. In the political arena it's, after all is said and done, may the best man win. I don't believe that Clinton is upset because Obama won, I am sure Clinton lost before. What is dissapointing to him though, the he was a champion for the Black Community. Him and Hillary where their friends. He made some of the Blacks what they are today and they have him to thank for, So he is dissapointed two fold. They all left him in droves, for another black man. Just because he is black and openly admitted it. Not because he is a better politician. Second that some of his best friends for decades, endorsed the opponent. If my best friend would leave me, for some gains and kiss someone elses azz just because for his own gains, I would be dissapointed too. Having said that, The Clintons are politicians and the show must go on. I wish them all luck. It just showed the voter again that politics is big business , and the fight is for big rewards not for the average citizen .

Yes dora, but then what would all these posters and the media have to talk about ?
Bashing the C lintons is their "most fun pastime" of this campaign .
Some of them actually seem to believe what they say , if not they hope to convince others to believe it .

Maybe some of the Clinton's friends endorsed Obama because they liked what he was offering better.
Just a thought.

I'm sorry but what exactly did he do for black people.? When he and Al Gore strung Internet wire in Concord, CA the big photo op was the 2 of them walking down the hall of a school with the wire reels. The trouble is that Mt. Diablo High is a predominantly white school in a white district. I thought that it would have been more appropriate for them to do it in an inner city school. When the Internet was finally opened to black schools, they couldn't even afford the computers to access the system.

Oh and about that surplus. Since our welfare system was out of control reduction of the welfare and food stamp program in liu of jobs that didn't pay a living wage, didn't last long, placed people on unemployment (controlled welfare) for 26wks, then they were on their on again.

Clearly, you are not African-American, so what on Earth makes you think that you can or should be speaking for African-American voters? There are Americans of European descent across the entire political spectrum, as well as those who don't pay any attention to electoral politics at all. Why assume that Americans of African descent are any different? Can you not see how arrogant your statements are, particularly given that you've delineated no factual basis for your assertions?

Beyond the obvious reality that you possess little or no understanding of the motivations of your fellow human beings, it's rarely a good idea to presume to know & speak for anyone other than oneself.

The democratic party is no longer Clintoncentric.

Even if Obama does not win the general election, there are many democratic officials in their 30s, 40s, and early 50s. These people are the future leaders of the party, not Bill or Hillary, and that is how it should be.

The media needs controversy, Obama v. Clintons gives them what they need; they have a vested interest in keeping the drama going. And Bill Clinton seemingly has a need for drama, it's like a drug to him. Maybe that's why he didn't need to inhale, he gets his highs elsewhere.

TRULY!!

WILL BILL CLINTON EVER GROW UP?

I WILL QUOTE HIM, "POLITICS IS A CONTACT SPORT, IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET HIT, DO NOT PUT ON THE PADS" .

SO PLEASE SPARE ME THE NONSENSE, "IT'S YOUR PARTY AND YOU WILL CRY IF YOU WANT TO"

BILL, GET OVER YOURSELF, THIS IS ABOUT THE COUNTRY, NOT BILL CLINTON!

Obama might say; no, now I will bury your ass.

I'm thinking most of this 'hostility' between Bill and Obama is media fabrication to fill air time. Bill is NOT to impolitic to think he can afford to tear up the party more than necessary. He OWES the Dem party way, way too much.

McAuliffe, the guy who introduced Hillary as the next POTUS at her concession speech date, says something we should take seriously? I think it's good Bill is still hating Barack. Republicans on the fence will be pleased therefore, to give us their vote. Remember Bill was NOT a popular-vote president at his re-election and he was HATED among Republicans. You go Bill.... Make an ass of yourself. Winning this election without your endorsement will truly be the end of your ego driven career. Bye bye, now. Here is your hat. Door is that way.

Bill Clinton deserves our respect and you folks should show some , after all he did good for our country and bush has done nothing but harm to our country. Get off his back and remember who wants to stay the course in Iraq and make the tax cuts for the richest permenent. Say no to mcsame and yes we can to Obama.

BC got our respect then - he even got our respect up until he began campaigning for HC. But to continue being respectfully loyal to him is ludicrous.

If they do it in public, it won't be the first time that there was a big show of bogus friendship among former rivals...don't forget how McCain embraced Bush after Bushie surrogates slimed not only McCain's wife, but their CHILD. Seems to me that all Obama did to the Clintons was to decide to run against them and to be the better candidate.
