I guess I understand the need for lobbyists but perhaps we could change the rule that lets all ex Congressmen (or women) and ex Reps freely roam the halls of the capital? Fine you can be a lobbyist but you don"t get an automatic admission to the building.

Unlike Wynn, Donna Edward will be a genuine advocate for her district. She is a true progressive. He's now where he belongs--in those high-rise brothels that line K Street.

These money-hungry self-serving individuals should be jailed. K street is 'killer' street.

Retired politicians are the biggest problem with Washington.
These idiots mess up things, leave and later profit from them.
We have to shut K Street down!

Albert Wynn showed his true colors. An honorable man would have finished his term. I voted for Donna Edwards and Wynn's quick decision to resign and do the K Street Shuffle ratified my decision.

Alas, what he did isn't against the law.

The netroots supported a primary challenger to Wynn because he supported telecom immunity. He lost the primary so of course he went into lobbying, probably for the telecoms.

He is a Democrat and he is Black. Its very unfortunate and that is the problem African Americans have created for themselves.

You said that African Americans have created the unfortunate problem that they are Black???? That doesn't even make sense in English. But welcome to earth, anyway.

Excuse me? It is very unfortunate that you attribute one AA's actions to all.

If he was a republican you wouldn't have had to ask the question as it would have been clear in the headline.

Yeah...that was my first question.

Regardless, K Street needs to be burnt to the ground if Obama is elected.

Lobbyists are the Devil's handmaidens.

Oh, c'mon people. How do you think women won the right to vote? Alice Paul and Carrie Chapman Catt practically lived on the Hill in the years before suffrage passed the House and the Senate -- and then they lived in the state houses to get 35 states to ratify it. How do you think we passed the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act, the Clean Water Act and the Clean Air Act, the Nuclear Freeze and everything else we have been working for since the progressive era? As citizens we wouldn't know what was going on in the various legislatures if we didn't have lobbyists spending endless hours hanging around talking and plotting. These are the people who keep us informed and let us know who to target our letters, telephone calls, emails, and office visits to. It's unfortunate that the big business lobbyists have given all lobbyists a bad name by having an endless source of money to influence policymakers. Lobbyists are our eyes, ears and voices in all legislative bodies. We need them, and therefore, have to put up with the more corrupting influences who also have agendas. Why is it that we only think the other side is dumb? I certainily read a lot of uninformed comments by our side on these blogs.

But somebody has to stand up for the poor ducks and dolphins. The environment has lobbyists too.
