According to a new Quinnipiac poll, as Joe Lieberman campaigns for McCain his approval rating at home is sinking:

Sen. Joseph Lieberman gets a 45 - 43 percent approval, down from 52 - 35 percent March 27 and his lowest score ever.

"Sen. Lieberman's approval rating has dropped below 50 percent for the first time in 14 years of polling, with nearly two-thirds of Democrats giving him low marks, probably because he is campaigning for Sen. John McCain," Dr. Schwartz said.

Lieberman recently argued that voters should choose John McCain because a terrorist attack would come early in the next presidency.

I imagine the independents and dems who voted for him in 2006 are now having buyer's remorse. Though he only won his seat due to republican contributions and votes. In Jan we will no longer need Lieberman to hold a majority in the Senate. He will be a member of the minority caucus. In 2012 I hope Ned Lamont will once again stand up as the dem nominee and relegate Lieberman to third party candidate status and unseat him. If the GOP wants him they can have this turncoat.

It seems that Joe Lieberman has disconnected his political mind, soul and CT roots. The anticipation of Obama election and a democratic senate may create a sensation of moral nakedness and emotional confusion. If that scenario is actualized, Joe will experience deep wounds of ego fragmentation. No more Bush to kiss, no more Cheney to bow may result in a spiritual and identity disorientation intensified by a sense of personal betrayal. Based on his trilogy of Oklahoma/WTC and Hamas support for Obama, I wonder if Lieberman still believes in his own words. He is a sample of McCain similar disorientation.

Well let's see now the MSM says Obama and McCain are in a deadheat 46%-44%. Yet they report that most Americans relate McCain to Bush who has less than a 25% approval. Anyone paying attention should know the MSM polls for their own results and should never even be considered as objective.

Mostly republicans, Lieberman didn't win the majority of the democratic vote. The republicans voted for him ignoring their own feeble joke of a candidate, who only managed single digits. That with a smaller fraction of non-college educated dems, and a fraction of the independent vote.

Most of us know exactly what you mean, but that still comes of like a racial slur. Maybe Im being hyper sensitive, but I remember someone telling me calling someone Judas in the Jewish community can be quite offensive. (Correct me if Im wrong)

But yeah, he mos def is a traitor, toothless wolf in sheeps clothing

The only good thing that came out of the 2000 "election" was Holy Joe Lieberman NOT ending up a heartbet away from the Presidency.

its amazing how this Senator from Israel ever got above 50% in the first place. after losing the primary, he took the ball and ran home and turned into an Indy. didnt have the courage to go all the way and turn Repub. but he belongs to a team. and the fans of that team don't care how you act. just do right by the team. it doesn't matter that other team members die for the good of his team. his only interest is the promotion of his team at the expense of others. and he will slide from one side of the isle to the other to do just that. no shame. its his fight, but he wont raise a hand to defend it. send someone else. my god prohibits it! two faced. he treats the people of CT. like morons. but then again he's no different than the rest. everybody's got a team.

That makes two of us. I supported Lamont. I hope the dullards that didn't notice Lieberman was a defacto republican have finally begun to wake up. Maybe seeing him speak at the Republican convention will do it?

While I wholly and truly despise Senator Lieberman and fully consider him to be a traitor to his party, it is still unfair to call him a 'de facto Republican' without any qualification. Yes, insofar as foreign policy is concerned, Lieberman holds a Republican/neo-con position. Yes, he is also especially focused on foreign policy and this is the primary reason why he is supporting McCain and why there is a good chance he'll speak at the RNC. However, truth be told, Lieberman is still quite liberal on most domestic fronts and when it comes to domestic policy he still votes pretty much in sync with the Democrats. If this were not the case he'd already have left the party and joined the Republicans; if he truly supported most Republican ideals don't you think he'd have handed them control of the Senate (since his vote is essentially the 'tie breaker' in the Senate)? So, while there is good reason to despise this man, it isn't fair to say that he is fully a Republican.

Lieberman and GWB = biggest losers in American politics. GWB is retiring soon. Lieberman will have to run in another state as a Republican or retire from politics. He's finished.

Just how does the "Senator from Israel" know a terrorist attack is coming? (Unless of course, someone from the intelligence agency of another nation told him that they were planning another black-op. You know, the one who benefited the most in their relationship with us after the recent attacks, and the one whose motto is "By Way of Deception you Will Conquer.")

What really kills me is the people in CT that voted for this guy. I know he won because "Republicans voted for him," but it took a sizeable chunk of Indies and DEMOCRATS to do it. I would say you deserve him, but alas he is not your Governor. Instead, by your will he has been tossed onto the nation's back, forcing ALL of us to deal with him. Thanks for the present Connecticut, a shame we only have >>5 more years of him.

You hold on tight like a puppet on a string

Got your education from just hangin' around
You got your brain from a hole in the ground
You come up, look around, for a will of your own
But you're mine yeahhhhh

Like a puppet on a string you hold on tight
You hold on tight like a puppet on a string
