The Observer:

The wholesale absorption of Hillary Clinton's best and brightest campaign advisers has begun.

In the weeks since Mrs. Clinton officially suspended her candidacy, the Obama campaign has recruited the services of the Clinton campaign's director of national security, Lee Feinstein, as well as foreign-policy advisers Mara Rudman, the deputy national security advisor under Bill Clinton; Robert Einhorn, a former assistant secretary for nonproliferation at the State Department; and Stuart Eizenstat, an international-trade specialist who was policy director for Jimmy Carter's 1976 campaign. On the domestic side, Gene Sperling, who was the top economic adviser on the Clinton campaign, has begun consulting with the Obama policy team.

The establishment of these working relationships follows formal announcements from the Obama campaign that they have hired former Clinton policy director Neera Tanden to report to their own policy director, Heather Higginbottom, along with Ms. Tanden's own stable of wonks from the Clinton campaign, and that they have brought in Clinton adviser and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright to work on national security issues.

Just what he needs to complement the cast of re-treads he has on his foreign policy team.

Brain Trust in this case is an oxymoron. More like untrustworthy.

Looks like Billary will sabotage Barry Campaign something that I am not surprised. Do you think that Billary will give up their thirst for power once for all? I don't think so. Bill remind me of a sith lord getting consume by the dark side, and barry is now the Skywalker.

Oh. Maybe that's why he's starting to act like her. Enthusing about Jaysus, endorsing faith based initiatives, alienating his core supporters. VERY disappointing.

I agree with lot of the posters who dislike the idea of Clinton's advisors advising Obama. His FISA decision needs to be reversed. Bush cannot be trusted, period.

Obama's campaign does seem to have taken on a different aura. Apparently the excitement is waning. And that is not an auspicious sign. However Obama will not lose my vote. Iam still an avid supporter.

The meme that Obama has to move to the centre may or may not be true, but HRC's supporters evidently are convinced of it. Madeline Albright is especially worrisome.

From the Boston Globe:

"By showing that Bush has put the country on a path pointing to permanent war, ever increasing debt and dependency, and further abuses of executive authority, Obama can transform the election into a referendum on the current administration's entire national security legacy. By articulating a set of principles that will safeguard the country's vital interests, both today and in the long run, at a price we can afford while preserving rather than distorting the Constitution, Obama can persuade Americans to repudiate the Bush legacy and to choose another course."

Looks rather like, the Clinton-campaign is replacing their fronf(wo)man, only to pick up their campaigning right where they left it for a summer-vacation some four weeks ago...

Actually, I can't see any differences between (thnn) Clinton and (now) Obama any more.

This is not "Change, you can believe in" - but "Unbelievable Change".

Is this the reason why he is lurching to the Right, and trying to placate the right wing punditry of this nation?

No wonder he's making bad choices lately.

YOu can't use the names of candidates or their spouses---creative spelling and spacing is very helpful.

There are other words that trap your comment as well.

Experiment a little and you'll get the hang of it.

Shouldn't "Brain Trust" be in quotes?
