ABC News:

ABC News' David Wright reports from Cartagena, Colombia. Sen. John McCain has set himself a difficult task on his trip to Latin America: to score political points against rival Barack Obama without criticizing him directly.

"I believe that partisanship ends at the water's edge," McCain said emphatically, when asked about Obama at a press conference at the Colombian Presidential retreat here.

But on the inaugural flight of the Straight Talk Express - airborne edition - McCain felt freer to let loose.

. . .

McCain bristled at the comments on "Face the Nation" last weekend by an Obama supporter, retired general Wesley Clark, who belittled the relevance of McCain's wartime experience as a qualification for the Presidency.

"I think it's up to Sen. Obama now not only to repudiate him but to cut him loose," McCain said.

McCain became visibly angry when I asked him to explain how his Vietnam experience prepared him for the Presidency.

"Please," he said, recoiling back in his seat in distaste at the very question.

The man has a clear and consistent anger management problem, exacerbated by his advancing age. The question is will America vote to have this man with his finger on the button?
Pray folks that we have all learned the sad lessons of the past 8 years.

Why would anyone ask him about his military experience? I thought it didn't count for anything at least according to Clarke.

Gen. Clark said McCain's military experience has not prepared him to be Commander-In-Chief. The whole GOP world reacted violently. OK, will McCain please explain how exactly, in terms that the blue-collar Appalachians can understand, his military experience had prepared him to be CIC? Instead of recoiling in distaste like a snake in his seat?

He doesn't look angry. He looks constipated.

Bingo! That is the big question. Are all those reports that he was known as Songbird McCain true?

I guess he doesn't know what it brings to Presidential experience either, otherwise I think he would have answered the question.

A small, angry 72 year old man is running for President of The United States. Just ignore him, he may go away.

What a stupid criteria to be using to select the President of the US. This is nothing more than letting the other side decide what the rules of the game are going to be for this campaign. We are not at war! There is no such thing as the Global War on Terror. There is no longer any need for the so called Terrorists to attack the US as the US is slowly destroying itself. It has been run by men and women equally as evil as those that put the Nazi's together.

What I want is a person who is good at Peace. Someone who knows how to get things accomplished in such a way that everybody comes out better than when they started. And so far, I haven't seen that Obama is headed in any direction different than der shrub or McIdiot. The more he talks, the more reason I have to distrust him. So I will vote my conscience and my best interests by Voting for Nader/Gonzales!

Oh, ok, vote for this guy who changes his mind every hour cause he can't remember what he just said. He is a sad, angry, VERY old man. But gee, make the same horrible mistake you made the last 2 times. Wow, that worked out well.
I'll just bet you're way better off now than you were 8 years ago, NOT!

The last prisoner released from Gitmo some years from now will someday have all the credentials he'll need to become president of Afghanistan.

See. America spreads democracy far and wide, and in most unusual ways.
