Obama Not Actually Having Trouble With Hispanic Voters

There have been reports of Obama's difficulty winning over Hispanic voters, but the latest Gallup polls suggest they're a little exaggerated:

Hispanic registered voters' support for Barack Obama for president remained consistent and strong in June, with Obama leading John McCain by 59% to 29% among this group.

While Hispanics generally preferred Hillary Clinton to Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination, a solid majority of Hispanics have consistently backed Obama against McCain in general-election trial heats. Obama has led McCain by about a 2-to-1 margin since Gallup began tracking general-election voting preferences in early March.

Of course, Obama has never had a problem with Hispanic voters! I live in New Mexico which is predominately Hispanic and, I can assure you that the Hispanics are behind Obama 100% . Why on earth would they back McCain? They are way too smart to fall for the Repugs agenda which, invariably, leaves them behind in every aspect of their lives.

Sadly, it is this blatant MSM-spin and distortion that has driven more and more Americans to the blogosphere for real, unbiased news and diverse commentary. It is very sad when we can't tune into our own news stations for accurate information, but rather must seek it through non-traditional methods.

I'm not surprised at all. The media has always been able to manipulate how we think. Was there any doubt that after HRC dropped out that nearly all Dems would go to Obama? I don't think so. Just as I don't think it'll be a big deal if Obama picks another VP, AND even if he chooses another female besides Hillary. It's the media dictating how things are. Gee, was it always like that I wonder?
I have some vague memory when it unbaisedly reported the news. No longer so. We are left to fend for ourselves and discect the media to determine what is true and what is not.

I think that's happened in more instances than this one. MSM is always trying to make a problem for O. I wonder why? O can't get this vote, or he's not getting that vote, come on give me a break! I'd tend to believe that if the competition were better or if people were not so tired of what we've had for the last 8 years.

I am not sure why they always talk about O but I have some theories:

For all their fair and balanced coverage:
MSM is not reflective of America all are rich,
most are men, most are white,
most are over 40 - average age is closer to 50 (I think),
most never interact with any minority as a peers even the few blacks are usually talked down to or are only allowed to comment on perceived "black" issues
2008 & O'Really did not think black plac like Slyvia's was possible
most have NO friend of color
All appear not to be true journalist but paid cheerleaders
all seem to be ashamed of themselves and will not face up to their part in selling the war
none cannot say "I am sorry"
and th question they like to ask - of all the MSM which one would you like to have a beer with?

I worked in downtown LA and Lincoln-Heights from the early seventies to about '84. It is one of the most ethnically diverse areas in America, (especially during the time that Obama was enrolled at Occidental College) with roughly equal portions of white, latino, asian, and african-americans It was a time and a place well suited to learning what reaching out was all about.

It was Rodney King getting beat up by the LAPD and asking, "Can't we all just get along?"

Obama has an answer. The answer is, "Yes, we can." (Si, se puede)

Of course it is. Most people of color share a kinship. In this country with it's racism they experience a lot of the same things. This was just another manufactured rift created by the MSM and it's pundits in an attempt to keep divisions alive, as a Hispanic reporter told Chris Mathews one day.
