Today, the right-wing American Family Association (AFA) announced a boycott of McDonald's. According to AFA, Ronald McDonald and his gang are part of giant gay agenda:

It is about McDonald's, as a corporation, refusing to remain neutral in the culture wars. McDonald's has chosen not to remain neutral but to give the full weight of their corporation to promoting the homosexual agenda, including homosexual marriage.

It might be worth mentioning when the person is offered the position. They should be able to find out if being gay will impede their professional career at your company. If it will - they should just say "thanks but not thanks" to the job.

It's like every single time I go in to a McDonald's there's homosexuals everywhere, holding hands, just hanging out, talking with each other, even touching the counter with their homosexual fingers. I'm not sure McD's is really pro-diversity in its corporate culture. It does shift and shape somewhat to avoid criticism. In any case you'd be healthier steering clear of most all of their food.

According to Eric Schlosser author of Fast Food Nation McDonalds sprays its hamburders with "natural flavor" to keep the taste uniform from coast to coast (and also to buy low quality beef and spruce it up). McDonald's has also been found guilty of using beef tallow to cook its french fries and marketing them as "Vegetarian" only to have been sued for lieing to the public.
This same corporation that adds 'non-toxic" plastic powder to its milk shakes to simulate thickness and collects $2300 tax credit for each worker it trains (ususally about 10 minutes of training) appeared before Congress in the 1970's and lobbied for a subminimum wage. That's right, a wage below minimum wage for its workers. The rewards of being a corporate serf. What a Patriotic American Institution!

None of those crackpots have ever been able to show how the people they hate are hurting them. They simply hate the idea that there are people different from them and they feel oblidged to put a stop to it. On the other hand, it is painfully obvious how their hatred hurts others. My brother and his husband have been together for nearly thirty years. None of us in our family ever needed a piece of paper from a big government agency or the approval of other's iron/bronze age superstitution to say they are married. Those silly institutions can say otherwise, just like they can say they believe in ghosts and fairies. The problems arise where they discriminate or feel compelled to get up in society and spew their venomous hatred. How ironic that they can get away with it in a country largely founded by people fleeing persecution from other societies dominated by similar thuggery as they now practice. Then again, maybe not. Once they got here, they promptly set up slavery and other forms of violent but "legal" discrimination

This just shows how pervasive moral corruption is in our country and how the subtle rot it engenders threatens us all.

All this talk of gay marriage and what happens?

A straight arrow senator en route to his family changes planes in Minneapolis (and we all know what a den of liberal iniquity that city is). He strolls through the concourse. They're playing songs by Madonna. He walks past a news kiosk and sees "The Advocate". Next thing you know he's tap dancing in the Men's Room.

Moral titans like David Vitter, Newt, et al begin to wonder what marriage really means if two people of the same sex can get married. The sacred bond frays. Before you know it, they're cheating on their wives - even in cases where the wife is dying.

Time to put a stop to all of this.

Our senators need to work immediately on a "Defense of the Burger Act".

There is nothing more American than the burger (except perhaps for the flag lapel pin).

The relationship between the burger and the individual needs to be defined as between one "all beef patty" and one heterosexual individual (male or female). But only one at a time - none of this kinky threesome or more stuff. I'll teporarily reserve judgment on whether the patty should be slathered with "special sauce" until I've had the chance to check with Reverend Dobson.

A line has to be drawn somewhere.

We wouldn't be in this moral "pickle" if we had exercised more discretion in the granting of drivers' licenses and library cards.

As to defense of marriage, I believe this should be Biblically-based and given the penchant of our so-called Christian pastors for the "Old" Testament, that I would guess would mean marriage would be defined as between one man and multiple (formal) wives plus assorted concubines. After all if it was good enough for the "patriarchs" it should be good enough for us.
