CNN's Political Ticker:

After a scheduled meeting between John McCain and Colombian President Alvaro Uribe Tuesday, the presumptive Republican nominee was briefed on the upcoming hostage rescue raid carried out Wednesday.

As he left Colombia Wednesday afternoon, McCain learned that raid had been successfully completed, and congratulated Uribe by phone.

Senators Joe Lieberman and Lindsey Graham, both traveling with McCain, were also briefed. Lieberman said McCain's advance knowledge of the raid signals a vote of confidence by foreign leaders.

The Columbians did a fine job.

But once McCain't heard of the releasem why did he not wait and fly the guys home, in the Straight BS Express?
From one ex- hostage to 3 others. A little compassion, why not?

I fear this McCain't guy has no honor.

Now that's leadership--Making an announcement about an event you literally had nothing to do with and by association trying to take credit for it. Well done, you.

This goes to show just how far the tentacles of the fascist machine go. What a manufactured event! People were trying to say it was only coincidence that McCain was there at the time.

***********UPDATE******************

I just saw a Story that the US Government spent $250.000,000 Dollars Searching for those Hostages that were just rescued. SO the Chances that BUSH and CO knew full well that the rescue was going to happen when and where it did after spending a Quarter Billion US Taxpayers Dollars are not just high but DEFINATE!

We the Taxpayer just got ripped off AGAIN and paid Millions for the GOP to set-up a PHOTO-OP for McCain.

This had better be top news and I think people should be exposed for setting this "coincedence" Up.

DEMAND THE GOP REFUND YOUR TAX DOLLARS SPENT TO SEND MCCAIN ON THIS PRE_ARRANGED PHOTO_OP!

"So I congratulate President Uribe, the military and the nation of Colombia. It is great news. Now we must renew our efforts to free all of the other innocent people held hostage."

Does that include the hundreds and maybe even thousands being held hostage by the american government Mr. McCain?

I'm going to go ahead and assume not.

"Lieberman said McCain's advance knowledge of the raid signals a vote of confidence by foreign leaders. "

Lieberman avoided saying that Columbia is trying to influence US elections in order to get CAFTA passed.

Why wasn't Obama briefed? He should have been. LiarMan it doesn't prove a thing except the backdoor to the whitehouse is working very well. You don't think people out here can see that.

Because they planned it all along. His campaign couldn't even come up with a good reason why McBush went to Colombia. Of course it was staged so he could take a subliminal credit. This administration is shameless and McBush is EVEN MORE SO. How disgusting to try and take advantage of a heroic rescue.

And what of the other prisoners? Oh that's right McDirt doesn't think he needs another photo op.

And what if things went terribly wrong and there were deaths. Would he claim that on his resume?

I genuinely thought that would be the October surprise in the last election; remember, Kerry and Bush were close in the polls. When it didn't happen, I came to the conclusion that the Pentagon didn't have any idea where he is. But since then, they HAVE had 4 more years to look, so who knows.

"Signals a vote of confidence by 'foreign' leaders" .... "FOREIGN LEADERS!!" Yep, they are foreign ... foreign to all that I believe in!!

Who the heck is Mc, Lei and Graham to be in Colombia discussing free trade agreements which would represent America!! Has the full Congress given it's consent for such off-the-record accords!? What!!?

When it was said that an adviser of O's went to Canada and made a mere suggestion, O was told by Missy and Mc to cut HIM LOOSE!!

Lawdy, I'll be mighty happy when O wipes their butt butt's out of the POTUS picture soundly!

Surely I'm not the only one who thinks the timing of this "raid" is suspicious. Six years they've been holding those hostages, and miraculously, the mount a succesful operation to free them just as the Columbian Free Trade Agreement is coming up for a vote, thus enabling Dubya to keep harping on the "Columbia is a vital ally in the War on Terror" theme?

Having said that, I'm very glad that those hostages are free.

A vote of confidence from a fellow fascist? Next, we'll find out that Saudi Royalty is for McClone.

Our government has never been so corrupt and partisan and reaching across the aisle to all

the pigs is not a solution. We must crush them in November and expose their crimes to bring

America back to the center from which it has strayed too far from over the last forty long years.

I am glad that someone else is thinking the same thing that I was thinking. I am almost positive that John McCain knew about this long before it happen, the trip all of sudden to Columbia was a setup, Bush and his little pet bulldog are trying to get this Columbia Trade bill passed, so what better way than try to convince the American people that trading with Columbia is okay, just look at what just happen.

We are not FOOLS, NOT THIS TIME, McCain may think that this will get him the election in November and everybody will start to shower him with praises and fall at his feet, but there's a new Sheriff in Town and his name is BARACK OBAMA.

iT'S BOGUS AND I'M GLAD SOMEONE ELSE SEE'S RIGHT THROUGH THIS B.S.

OBAMA POTUS 08
