Philly Radio Station Refuses To Run Dem Ad

The Hill:

A Philadelphia news radio station has rejected a Democratic ad that features an impersonator of President Bush thanking GOP congressional candidates for supporting the "Big Oil" agenda.

Philadelphia KYW-AM Vice President and General Manager David Yadgaroff said his station decided not to run the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) ad because it was worried its listeners would be misled.

"As an all-news station, we were concerned that our listeners would have been misled by usage of an impersonator in the creative delivery," Yadgaroff said in an e-mail sent to The Hill.

Media in Philly is so very bias. The daily local news reports on the candidates are soooo slanted...it's suttle, really doesn't take much. During the primaries the media bent over backwards for Hillary..but you had the mayor and Gov. Rendell heavily backing her so.......
But now.....forget about it. The media here is for some reason favoring McCain and the republicans.

OK I might get slammed for this, but I dont like that ad. I have been a Democrat my entire adult life, but this ad bothers me. It could be heard by some as really GWB. Even though there is truth in the message, the delivery is misleading. I can understand the radio stations reluctance to air it.
I would not want the reverse to happen. What if a Republicans 527 group did something like this with an Obama impersonator? Honestly?

I think the decision made by the radio station is reasonable even though it is totally hilarious.

The problem is that the media has let Bush get away with so much egregious behavior for so long that it is now difficult to distinguish between Bush's actions and sarcastic satire.

There is another article on the site saying that an ad that was to highlight energy policy differences between McCain and Obama was an "attack."
