Rove

Think Progress:

Yesterday, the House Judiciary Committee received a letter from Karl Rove's attorney Robert Luskin, stating that his client refuses to testify before a House subcommittee, despite a congressional subpoena. He reiterated his offer to have Rove appear for an off-the-record interview, not under oath, about the prosecution of formerly Alabama governor Don Siegelman only. In a response to Luskin, Reps. John Conyers (D-MI) and Linda Sanchez (D-CA) reject the offer:

We want to make clear that the Subcommittee will convene as scheduled and expects Mr. Rove to appear, and that a refusal to appear in violation of the subpoena could subject Mr. Rove to contempt proceedings, including statutory contempt under federal law and proceedings under the inherent contempt authority of the House of Representatives.

Foremost in the thoughts of the escapee, Carl Rove, is to fly within the combines of the infrastructure in Iraq. There will not be a welcoming party who will meet him, but rather a disgruntled staff whose only desire will be to get him out of sight and out of their territory. Dubai awaits him. He will thirst in the desert.

What are these spineless Democrats waiting for. I remember Senator Sam Ervin during Watergate.
He called in Nixon's White House Counsel - John Dean. He called in Nixon's Cheif of Staff - Haldeman
He called in Nixon'e political strategist - Erlicman. Sam Ervin would have Karl Rove in jail for
contempt by now. Why can't Democrats find another Sam Ervin?

The House Judiciary Committee needs to do what they said they would do ........ ARREST ROVE.

I hope they have a spine and are not jist making idle threats.

Bush, Rove, Cheney and now McCain believe they are above the law.

Rove said that the White House had no involvement in this case, so he has no White House Advisor Immunity.

LOCK HIM UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, congress either follows through or should admit they're junior republicanderthals in disguise. I want action and I want to see sweat on foreheads! I'm tired of waiting. It's been almost eight years. Enough is enough!

Arrest this gray haired, arrogant, smug dough boy.

Rove should have his medical insurance taken away, then his houses foreclosed on, thenhis pensions removed. He should be taken to the Green Zone, made to put on a t shirt and jeans and forced to walk out of the Green Zone into the streets of Baghdad where he will have to survive,on his own mind you, for a year, without aid from any military body.

If he makes it through that year, upon his return, before he loses what jobs he had lined up - he will be told "funding" dried up - he should be forced to testify, again, and grilled about the falsehoods, lies, and pathologically screwed up excuses he gave the American people about the war in Iraq from his prison cell.

He should be asked why on earth are American taxpayers forced to give trillions of dollars to a war when our own people are homeless or soon to be, have no jobs, no healthcare and are going without everyday ?

Rove, Bush, Cheney, Rice, Woolsey, Perle, Hadley, Wurmser, Natsios, Barlett, and especially Bolton should all be made to do the same thing, Bush to Anbar province, Cheney to Fallujah, Rummy well Rummy let's just throw him to the troops and let them tear him apart. These a**holes should be made to disappear and never be allowed to practice their warmongering politics ever again.

How about dispatching Karl to Gitmo? He's caused more damage than any of the
current residents.

PEOPLE! PAY ATTENTION. ..... Yes, it was a poorly written article; the date of the hearing hasn't happened yet, so Conyers doesn't have cause of action _yet._ I believe the hearing date is July 10. If he doesn't show THEN, afterwards he can be arrested, etc.

Got it now?

Good.

Reps. John Conyers (D-MI) is going to arrest him. Rove is stupid. This will give the Dems the spot light and this will bring back up the Rethug corruption charges. This will be great for the electing more Dems in office.

While I would be pleased if the Democrates actually showed some courage I will not hold my breath while I am waiting. They have proved themselves wimps too many times before.

That is one thing you have to give the Republicans credit for, even if they are a bunch of dishonest incompetent hatemongers at least they are willing to fight for their beliefs specially since most of them know it is nothing but rubbish.

Little known fact, when Pelosi said Impeachment was off the table under her breath she muttered "and Rove walks too"
