Obama's War Stance: Nothing Has Changed But Media Spin

The more the presidential campaign unfolds, the more it resembles a Twilight Zone episode in which reality has no meaning at all.

For over a year, Barack Obama's position on Iraq has been entirely consistent -- a flexible withdrawal timeline, over 16 months, with one to two brigades a month. He would consult with commanders on the ground about how best to execute this policy, and would consider conditions on the ground, but Obama is committed to a withdrawal policy. He's said this over and over again.

I agree...it is my honest opinion that this is some organized effort .

What's worse is that so many actually believe the spin. People are letting others think for them and then feigning outrage over untruths. Pitiful. Just look at Wesley Clark. Even though I watched a lot of shows during the primaries and suffered through the coverage, I can't take it anymore. I think the biggest part of Obama's halted speech is that he's constantly processing how someone can abuse what he's saying.

I feel like I'm in an alternate universe from common sense sometimes. Adapting to changing situations is what we WANT! Not someone sticking to stupid policies even when they KNOW they aren't working. That's what we've had for far too long

I think Obama's always been a moderate. What he says in his books and speeches sound moderate. It's when you get it second hand from the pundits, it seems inconsistent.

Barack Obama is defining and refining what he thinks and believes and how things should be done on his campaign ad it becomes a flip flop or a off center/more center or total denying of what he said for a fact. The media did not even mentioned McBush's flip flop on the new GI Bill. Even though McBush did not even bother to show up and vote for the bill. The Bill also had the latest emergency appropriations for the Iraq in Afghanistan wars. So her is a guy in McBush who is saying that he is for staying in Iraq for 100 years and does not even vote to fund it. The media should have been all over him but nothing but crickets.

Hmmmm...where has Obama changed his stance? Lets define....this refine...maybe soldiers need to leave from this area than this area...maybe we need these amount of trucks than this amount...maybe we can up the number of soldiers from 5000 a month to ten thousand...maybe we can add more soldiers on the ground and instead of leaving in 16 months we can leve in 9 months.. Nope...it is a d*mn good idea...We need more soldiers...look at what we have now..these soldiers are worn out...Personally, I was in the Army as a 92 Y...I was in when Bill Clinton made the military smaller...he offered soldiers (good,well trained senior soldiers) the early out option...they paid these soldiers upward of twenty thousand dollars or more to retire early...It was a big mistake...I ended up doing the job of three people and I still had 15 soldiers under my supervision...(I was A Supply SGT)...that was the beginning of the dislike of Bill Clinton by me and the military...Also, Basic Training standards were lowered and we had soldiers entering the unit failing PT Test (Physical Training) and very disrespectful due to new guidelines that said yellow cards would be used to ensure that Drill Sgts were not cursing or hollering at soldiers. They had to be more compassionate...it was a crock of bull...some soldiers were just undiscipline...I am a Dem and have always voted Dem...but I dislike that some Dems don't understand the military...Obama is soooo right on this one...ask any soldier ask any vet.
