Giuliani's Campaign Manager Joins McCain Team

ABC News' George Stephanopoulos Reports: ABC News has learned that the McCain campaign has hired Mike DuHaime as political director, the first new hire by Steve Schmidt in his capacity as the person in charge of day-to-day campaign operations.

DuHaime had been serving as a senior advisor for political operations at the Republican National Commitee since March, but now he will head up the political team from within the McCain operation.

The move comes as the McCain campaign essentially relaunches its general election effort, after weeks of complaints in Republicans circles that Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., has been slow to find his footing against Democrat Barack Obama.

Hmmm... this is the guy who is responsible for:
- the Florida strategy - stay out of the race until everyone has forgotten you are in it and big mo has completely run with someone else - then jump in!
- the two-face strategy - deny your moderate past and try to look like some Bubba Christian right-winger you've never in your whole life even understood - go to Nascar and Bible colleges. Fred Thompson can pull this one off - but he's an actor.
- the 9/11 strategy - mention one single day seven years ago so much you turn something important into something annoying.

McCain's already got to the two face thing and the wait and let the other guy catch up thing going - so I guess this guy will have McCain talking about the Hanoi Hilton (his hero days) a lot more and equating that to Al Quaeda somehow....

RUDY'S campagne was the ultimate LOSER, perhaps the worst in all of human history
and certainly the worst in the past century. Rudy was waiting FLORDIA while JOHN
