McCain Cracks Another Joke About Killing Iranians (VIDEO)

The Washington Post reports:

Sen. John McCain hasn't had good luck joking about Iran. But he tried it again Tuesday.

Responding to a question about a survey that shows increased exports to
Iran, mainly from cigarettes, McCain said, "Maybe thats a way of killing them."

He quickly caught himself, saying "I meant that as a joke" as his wife, Cindy, poked him in the back.

Last time, it was also Iran. His singing about bombing Iran to the theme of the Beach Boy' "Barbara Ann" drew derision from many quarters but a "lighten up" response from McCain

A friend who is the Director of a Senior's Center told me as we get older, we become more authentic and more of who we really are. For goodness sake -- if Obama had made such an appalling comment, it would be all over Faux News in seconds. What a terrible thing to say -- it's NOT a joke. I wouldn't find it funny even if Chris Rock or George Carlin (RIP) made this joke.

The media will never make a big deal over anything about McCain that should make Americans question his fitness to be president. He provides them access and they provide him cover. On any foreign policy fiasco, McCain will get a pass.

But perhaps we can get voters in tobacco producing states upset about McCain's latest comment about killing Iranians with cigarettes. It's electoral votes that will determine who wins in November.
