Angelina Jolie To Have C-Section Tuesday: Report

Angelina Jolie is growing increasingly grouchy with staff while she waits to give birth to twins in a French hospital, according to a new report.

The heavily-pregnant actress has been holed up in the private Lenval hospital in Nice for a week now ahead of her scheduled Caesarean section next Tuesday.

While staff there were amazed by her extreme politeness when she first arrived, Angelina's mood has darkened over the last few days, American magazine In Touch Weekly has claimed.

An insider told the publication: 'She's starting to feel that the staff are starstruck and not attentive enough. She's throwing fits if she rings and they don't come quick enough.'

I'm not convinced Angelina's entirely healthy. She's plenty rich enough to be somewhere privately - why be in a hospital for 'a few weeks' before they're due.
The last few weeks waiting for baby is very boring - even when not holed up in a hospital.
I think the c-section is medical, to get the babies out quicker - even though I bet it was on the cards from the start.
PS. I admit, I thought the babies were here a couple of days after she went in. Now I just think there are health problems.

Many women that are late in their pregnancies with twins end up in bed rest.

It's possible that she was experiencing signs of preterm labor; and may have needed certain medications to stop or prevent labor from happening ... or progressing. I don't know; there's not enough details in the articles & perhaps, her doctor doesn't want to be more specific as to her condition. But when I was pregnant with multiples (not fertility drugs, but natural twins), I read a lot on what could happen during my pregnancy. Still, I was fortunate ... I did not have a c-section. My ob/gyn (bless her heart, she's no longer living) was outstanding! And this was in an urban, teaching hospital in the Midwest.

There's nothing unhealthy about a woman who previously had a C-section, now (likely) in her 9th month with twins, being hospitalized. Julia Roberts was in the hospital for almost 4 weeks before her twins were born and they we 6 weeks early. With any Mum who has had a C-section subsequent births are watched carefully because uterine rupture is a rave danger. I would think those risks are multiplied expotentionally with a pregnancy of multiples. If Angelina is in fact due in mid-August she must be very healthy indeed to have stayed out of the hospital this long.

If that tattletale was my nurse, I'd be miserable too! (though it's more likely someone who works in admin and has no contact with patients)
I was at my happiest right up until a few days before giving birth (both my guys were born after TEN months) and then I just wanted them outta there.
I doubt very much Jolie is asking for salmon every day since any pregnant woman knows that salmon is to be eaten in moderation (two portions per week).

It's sad that this family has tried so hard to guard their privacy and yet in a place where she should be free from prying eyes, the staff is running to the media... not the best environment for a happy birth.

She has NO MOVIE ROLES on tap as she said she wasn't interested in doing anything but "Atlas Shrugged." The producer wants only Angelina for the key role and the director just left the project. Don't hold your breath until you see AJ seeking more live action film work.

Desert ~ I agree she's not the best actress in the world; but I don't think the decision to have more biological children is all her partner's. I also don't think that having children will necessarily make her a better person ... or even, what I would consider to be, a good mother. Only time (and her children, as they grow up) will tell. Let's hope, though, that Jolie's completely done with self-mutilation, blood vials/writing in blood, and perverse interests in death. Those past behaviors are what makes me question her ability to adequately raise so many children, from so many backgrounds/experiences.

Gee, grouchy while pregnant. How very unusual. Come on! I would expect that anybody working a maternity ward would be aware of the mood swings which accompany the beauty of pregnancy. And yes, she's rich enough to be getting food from wherever she wants. Maybe this "insider" needs to find a more appropriate job... one that doesn't lend itself to spreading gossip.

She's had a previous c-section. Vaginal deliveries after a c-section are controversial, to say the least. There is a small risk of uterine rupture (yes, ruptured uterus and life threatening bleeding.)

I think the c-section was a given. It was just a matter of when.

I tried to have a V-BAC (vaginal birth after cesarian section). I'd had complications after my 1st pregnancy and resulting c-section and never wanted to go through that again. Well, my attempt at a V-BAC went horribly awry and my uterus ruptured all the way across. My baby and I both almost died.
That said, I can see why since Jolie is carrying twins, she'd opt (assuming she has a choice) for a C-Section.

I am just curious... exactly what pressure? Being unable to appreciate the $300,000 table Brad just purchased? The cost of gas for the helicopter Brad uses almost every day to get to the hospital? Renter's insurance on the $60,000,000 estate they are using? Only being able to have 4 rooms instead of 5?

Please.. this woman has no clue about pressure. She is uncomfortable and very pregnant... as are thousands of women at any given time.

So, her discomfort and experience is only proportional to her creature comforts, i.e. poor people experience much more painful childbirths because they are poor? Yeah, that's logical. How would being rich or pampered take away the pain and pressure of childbirth?

The commonality of the experience also does not make it something to shrug off. Lots of people get shot every day too. I bet the bullets feel quite similar for everyone.

Jolie is an extremely rich, high profile star in the U.S., who's been part of Hollywood all her life. She is not some sad depraved American mother to be! Jolie has it all, as the saying goes. Wealth, popularity, family life, good health, an ability to go almost anywhere she wants to & when she wants to ... and choices of where to have her birth experiences (which she's been making, BTW).

And I'm pretty sure she's aware of all these gifts, too ... even if you're not.
