Brave New Films: Sorry FOX, We Won't Let You Trash Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama has come in for particularly poor treatment on FOX News -- from the "terrorist fist jab" to "Obama's Baby Mama," along with scores of comments on her supposed bitterness. In a new video, Brave New Films catalogs the racism and misinformation in FOX's anti-Obama attacks.

"Not only are they smearing Michelle Obama with racist stereotypes, but then they offer a feeble apology that they believe gives them the right to slander her again," the group says in a press release. "FOX's long history of racism is nothing new, but it has been particularly egregious when it comes to their coverage of the Obamas. Racism and fearmongering have no place in our country or its politics, despite what FOX would have you believe."

The petition may be a good idea, but I'm not sure it will have much impact. What we need to do is start a NATIONWIDE BOYCOTT of FOX Network advertisers. Believe me, it's all about the money and that's the ONLY thing that will stop these race baiters. Obama is known for his grassroots movements. We need to start a movement against FOX and their advertisers. There is strength in numbers. By boycotting FOX advertisers we can hit them where it hurts... the pocketbook! I am willing to participate to the nth degree to make this happen. And know others who will too! Does anyone know of someone with great organizational skills who could/would spearhead such a movement?

Repeating her words is not an attack but deliberately mis-interpreting them in order to make her sound as though she does not love her country is. When she made the proud of my country comment she was talking about how she was proud to see all kinds of people coming together in a way that has not happened before. When Cindy McCain piled on and said " I don't know about you but I have always been proud of my country," in essence she was saying that she is proud of racism, bigotry, slavery and all the things that might make it a little harder for a black person to always be proud of America.

It's a racist attack when you twist and turn the words around to make them appear to be something that they are not. This is stupid stuff that fox does. Actually what they do is insult white people. They figure that it's mostly white people that watch their show, so what they are trying to do is make white people afraid to vote for Obama, by framing things in a way that is negative. They are telling the people who watch their shows that they are not intelligent enough to cast an intelligent vote, so they are doing everything to influence that vote. Unfortunately, what looks good on paper doesn't work in reality. The Republicons have been winning presidential elections based on racism and fearmongering because the American people lap it up...and the GOP will continue to win elections based on race and fearmongering because the American people lap it up.

Just stop watching Fox News. With most televisions made in the last several years you can block channels. Go into the menu (a button should be on the remote) find the Fox News channel and click on block this channel. After that "YOUR" TV will act like that station doesn't exist. Isn't that easier than giving them all this free publicity. The key word is "YOUR". Meaning you control it, not Fox News or any other person.
Every news-blog seems to rely on Fox bashing for ratings (or clicks). This is America. We can change the channel. We know Fox is run by greedy people that do what they do for the money. Billy O doesn't hate everybody, but that is how he makes his money. And he's smart enough to know that. Are we?
This is not China. We can watch channels that are not State sponsored. I refer to a quote from the movies, "It's always about the money". Hope this can help empty the feed bin so these Fox News people starve and blow away. Until we stop being stupid they are going to keep shoveling.
