Brave New Films: Sorry FOX, We Won't Let You Trash Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama has come in for particularly poor treatment on FOX News -- from the "terrorist fist jab" to "Obama's Baby Mama," along with scores of comments on her supposed bitterness. In a new video, Brave New Films catalogs the racism and misinformation in FOX's anti-Obama attacks.

"Not only are they smearing Michelle Obama with racist stereotypes, but then they offer a feeble apology that they believe gives them the right to slander her again," the group says in a press release. "FOX's long history of racism is nothing new, but it has been particularly egregious when it comes to their coverage of the Obamas. Racism and fearmongering have no place in our country or its politics, despite what FOX would have you believe."

My elderly parents watch Fox News all day and all night. I sincerely believe it has damaged their brains. My parents are good people who have been mislead by this organization and the brain-washing tactics that they practice. Sean Hannity claims to be such a christian but his actions are anything but. I know God is sad watching these kinds of people do what they do and then claim to be acting on his behalf. I personally have and will continue to pray for God to silence this mouthpiece of hate called Fox News. What America needs to do is stop watching it, that really is the only way to be rid of it. Also, I appreciate well rounded news coverage even when it does not make my candidate look so good, but when a so called FAIR AND BALANCED news source deliberately manipulates the facts to create a story that does not exsist, then it is time to turn it off.

Hit False News where it hurts. Tell like minded friends and relatives to write letter and e-mails of protest to the companies which advertise on the network. Tell them you will stop buying their products, as you do not support racism and bigotry. These companies only know one thing--money.

Also, write the FCC and impress upon it the importance of stopping racism in the media propagated by Fox. Our children seeing Janet Jackson's boob doesn't have a long lasting effect, as opposed to being repeatedly told that there is nothing wrong with being a racist or bigot.

Some of the companies you list have business deals with News Corp that go beyone Fox News and they will not upset those streams of income to placate protesters. However you still email them to let them know you will not be using their products.

This video is a joke. This is politics, and Michele Obama is putting herself into the race. FOX is the only news channel that will look seriously at Barack and Michelle.

Here attitudes about this country are different than the mainstream. Just as Obama insulted Americans for not speaking French yesterday, Michelle says she has never been proud of her country until her husband ran for president. On her speaking tour, she wined about how bad things are in this country, that she had to pay back her student loan to PRINCETON and HARVARD! She didn't notice that this country enabled them to become millionaires, but that she was stuck with student loans.

They attended Rev. Wright's church for 20 year. Wright espouses black liberation theology, a Marxist based theology that therefore has anti-America rhetoric throughout it.

They didn't adopt Wright's views? There is a recording of Michelle alluding to "middle class-ism," one of Wright's points about warning blacks not to aspire to a life of mortgages and IRA savings accounts.

Obama is not close to bomber William Ayers? Who put Ayers of the board with Obama at University of Chicago? Michele Obama did, since she set up the panel and it participants, and she thought it was good to have the radical Ayers on it.

These ARE the issues--who is Barack Obama, and who is his wife. What are their values? How do they view this country? What decisions would they make as president??

5)Why are we trillons of dollars in debt when W had a trillion dollar surplus when he took office?

Barack proposes a windfall tax on oil companies. How will that bring down the price of gas?? I will side with the drill now-pay less crowd on this.

I don't want to take on the whole Iraq issue here, but why was Clinton and his cabinet on the same page to remove Hussein from power? And Barack is going to evaluate what to do when he takes office. He has no plans to withdraw from Iraq.

i don't know the specifics of your health plan, but I do know I don't want a government run health care system for a variety of reasons, the main one is that to take health care out of the free market would be a complete national disaster.

Clinton had a surplus because of the tech bubble of the 90's. Bush also had the war on terror to contend with.

I don't know all of the tax code, but I do know the vast majority of taxes are already paid by the wealthy taxpayers.

Get your facts straight. In Michelle's speech, she said it is the first time she was REALLY proud and meant the political process. People edited out the word really and took it out of context to further distort the meaning.

She did NOT WHINE about paying off school loans. She said she was lucky to have gotten such a good education and mentioned the school loans to show that she understands what it is like to be middle class and not be extremely wealthy like other candidates.

I agree that Wright's views can be extreme, but I took the time to research many of his sermons online (easily found if you want to know the full truth) and most of his sermons were more traditional and compassionate.

Ayers is NO LONGER a radical. Research the facts.

I saw a comment on another board today saying that it is sad that the success of the Republican party lies with the ignorance (not stupidity, just lack of knowledge through not researching information) and willingness to believe lies told them. I have to agree and think it is sad, because I know a lot of nice people who are Republicans and think they are doing the right thing because of the abortion issue, not realizing that ADULTS are dying because of a war that is profiting the leaders of the party. I do not understand how someone who has on their resume that they bombed the Pentagon and NYPD office that they are OK to hire at a university. For me, if I knew Ayers was at a meeting, panel, fundraiser, or any social gathering, I would refuse to attend and be in the same room as him.
