Jewish Dem Ire Boils Over On Lieberman

The Hill:

Jewish Democrats are anxious that Sen. Joe Lieberman's support for Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) will hurt their own nominee's chances with voters of their faith.

Their increasing frustration came to a head Wednesday when liberal activists and bloggers dropped off a petition calling for Democratic leaders to remove Lieberman, an Independent from Connecticut who caucuses with the Democrats, as chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee in the next Congress. The petition contained 43,000 signatures.

i'M NOT A DARN ACTIVIST! I'm just a house wife clear down here in Ne., and I sighned that petition to, and darn proud of it! He laughs in all our faces, and says he's not scared of us activist! These are normal human beings from all walks of life, and where americans, and we darn sure have the right to speak up when we don't agree with our leaders! Lieberman don't like the fact that Obama is giveing the American people their vo VOICES TO BE HEARD! He doesn't think Mccain would be best at all! He has his hand out , and wants a place in his administration and pandering to Mccain to get it! I use to respect him, and I was a republican up to this year and I fliped! I'm to Dam old for them to say I'm swooning over Obama! I researched both Mccain and Obama, listen to where they stood on issues, and who's had more hope of success! Mccain makes no senese when he talks, he jumps from sentence to sentence with NO direction! He's boring , his wife's theift of drug/drug problems bother me. Mccains memory problem bothers me/ His verbal abuse of his wife bothers me! His temper bothers me! His age bothers me! His health bothers me! Etc,Etc,Etc,Etc.

I think it is high time that the media stop treating Lieberman as though he were the measuring stick of Jewish American sentiment.

I have thought for a long time that Leiberman is still stewing about something that happened in the 2004 primary campaign. I remember him being really hurt and upset that Al Gore did not tell him in advance that he was endorsing Howard Dean. Poor Joe went on several talk shows to complain about that, and I believe much of what he has done since then has been a downward spiral started by that perceived slight. The man can hold a grudge.

Long ago if he had done this we would all be better off...no need to have him defiling the Dem. party. We have enough who do nothing to counter Bush, or actively embrace the neocon party line, like Lieberman...toss them all out...we don't need them.

well, I kind of get where he is coming from.... his interest's are first and foremost with Israel and Obama's interest's are first and foremost with the U.S.A. so I guess he will go with whoever is prowar with Iran.

It is sad to think our foreign policies must be directly in step with Israel's. ...... it is very sad.
