Mccain

ABC's Political Punch:

Asked what first comes to his mind when he thinks of Pittsburgh, McCain chuckled, "the Steelers. I was a mediocre high school athlete but I loved and adored the sports but the Steelers really made a huge impression on me particularly in my early years."

And then McCain told a rather moving story about his time as a P.O.W. "When I was first interrogated and really had to give some information because of the pressures, physical pressures on me, I named the starting lineup, defensive line of the Pittsburgh Steelers as my squadron mates."

...

"Could you do it today?" asked the reporter.

"No, unfortunately," McCain said.

Here's one reason he likely couldn't do it today -- the Steelers aren't the team whose defensive line McCain named for his Vietnamese tormentors. The Green Bay Packers are. At least according to every previous time McCain has told this story. And the McCain campaign just told ABC News that the senator made a mistake -- it was, indeed, the Packers.

This is not the first lie he's told...... it won't be the last.

When asled who he would have in his cabinet, McCain rattled off the names of the starting lineup of the Green Bay Packers.

The sad thing is that the starting lineup of the Green Bay Packers would probably do a better job and be more competent that anyone that McBush would appoint to his cabinet.

This in and of itself is a none event, but it is indicative of the continued pattern of lying and deception from McCain. Also the gall and cajones he has to repeatedly call Obama duplicitous.

What's all this I hear about a nun event? Why, I'm sure that Sister Mary Margaret would have something to say about any event involving nuns. Nuns are the backbone of this country and a gathering of, say 10,000 nuns all in their freshly pressed habits, swinging rosaries and those ropes around their waists with the knots tied in them would be an incredible sight to behold indeed. Wait, what's that? A non event? Oh, that's different. Nevermind.

With apologoes to Rosanne Rosannadanna. We miss you Gilda.

Sorry, it just lept into mind.

Question still unanswered. Being a POW how does that qualify you to be Commander In Chief? This is not a question of patriotism but rather a question of qualification.

I've felt for a very long time now that the Clintons and the Bushes were merely opposite sides of the same coin. As time goes on, though, it may be more true than I originally thought.

Both McCain and Hillary can't accurately remember their "war-time" experiences (Clinton's sniper fire and McCain's football team).

Both Karl Rove and Howard Wolfson are now employed by Faux News.

And Karen Hughes was just hired by the company that employs Mark Penn.

Maybe Hillary will be chosen as McCain's VP.

Sometimes I wonder if Mc'Cain wasn't meant to be a sacrificial lamb for H'illary.

I've wondered the same thing, as well. Hillary was preselected to be the next president, losing to McCain, but promising to "obliterate" Iran (the most important thing to Bush). Then the Obama tidal wave emerged and knocked her out of the water.

Did Hillary release her delegates to Obama yet? I haven't heard that she did. It would be reassuring to know that she did, given her bizarre reference to RFK as it might relate to Barack's mortality. I truly fear for Obama's safety, and I hope they double up on Secret Service protection whenever and wherever she accompanies him. :-(

Can Alzheimer’s start at 71 or did he just loose his bearings again? That’s kind of a big thing to forget, either you have a favorite team or not?

"McCain refused an early release. An act of valor? Three former POWs told me he was ordered to turn it down by his U.S. POW commander and he "just followed orders." ""

Is this man the best the Republicans could do?
Or did they just know they would lose and therefore needed a fall guy?
This is as good as it gets being the fall guy!

Every time I find myself thinking, "surely the 'pubs could have come up with someone better than McSame", I turn on the TV and see Romney, Giuliani, Thompson or Brownback and then I am reminded that yes, this is the best the 'pubs have to offer.

As lies go, this one is in the Bosnian sniper fire category. Unnecessary, irrelevant and easily checkable. They don't even care if they get caught lying any more.

Most people around here are forced to retire at 65.

At 71, with mental and physical health issues, McCain is expecting to become President of the United States, a country at war, faced with tremendous economic problems.

Is he up to the challenges of this job?

Love him or hate him, after all the memory and judgment lapses we've seen just this week alone, the answer clearly has got to be "No".

Given that ANY information from Mc'Cain is unreliable, even in the best of circumstances, I don't think you can use him in your proof :-)

McBush, you seem to be getting more "confused" and "forgetful" by the minute. Is this why you don't work on weekends? From what I am seeing, you should quit your day job. Time to retire.
