New York Magazine:

We've Got Quentin Tarantino's 'Inglorious Bastards' Script...and it is exactly as batshit over-the-top insane as we hoped.

The copy we acquired includes a handwritten cover page which we think might actually be in Tarantino's handwriting, reading, "INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS." This misspelling of "bastards" continues through the screenplay, suggesting we were right when we guessed Tarantino was writing really, really fast. He doesn't even have time to spell-check if he's gonna get this movie turned around by Cannes!

Since when do editorialists use quotation marks on their own opinions? Third person? Or is it a crass attempt to manufacture buzz?

If there were a way to buy my ticket now, and alleviate Tarantino's having to deal with the producers and marketers, I would do so. Subsription micro-investing for film producers like Tarantino and Gilliam and a few others makes a lot of sense and would result in better movies.
I know that even if a Tarantino movie fails, either critically or financially, it will nevertheless provide hours of interesting discussion.

The first couple of Tarantino movies I saw proved to me he didn't know what he was doing. Boring, stupid, don't bother. I've never gone back.

Well that's good because you don't know what you're doing and you're also boring and stupid. I look forward to enjoying the fun of his movies without your odious company.

I'm boycotting Tarantino's movies until he puts out "Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair" on DVD.

I've been waiting forever.

I saw about 10 minutes of Kill Bill and it seemed so stupikd... who wants to watch all that violence. I have not seen any of his other movies and don't care to.

Ignorance is indeed bliss, I guess. "Guernica" is an extremely 'violent' image but still a masterpiece by any artistic standard.

Some people have trouble discerning fiction from reality. Admitting you have a problem is the first step toward recovery. (You do realize the violence in movies is not real, don't you?)

Delighted to see Mr. Tarantino -- plagiarist extraordinaire -- punching and
clawing his way to the bottom.

At 167 minutes, though, who will ever know???????????????

"Sure, Kill Bill's a violent movie. But it's a Tarantino movie. You don't go to see Metallica and ask the f uc kers to turn the music down."

Every few years a movie comes around that is so utterly stupid it makes ALL others look like masterpeices. Years ago it was Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. Tarantino has devoted his life to making films that lower the bar in Hollywood.

Can't wait. The Grindhouse double was a bomb, but Kill Bill rocked and Pulp Fiction is one of the best movies of this generation.

I wan't much of a fan of "Death Proof," but I thought Rodriegez's [sp?] "Planet Terror" was pretty cool, if you're into campy horror flicks.

This article seems to be an excuse for the Tarantino Haters to roll out; oh well, there's no accounting for taste. Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill I & II were all fun films, IMO. Oh, and add in writing credit for Natural Born Killers.

I watched it on cable and Death Proof was agony. I gotta admit I didn't sit thru Planet Terror but I did watch the last 40 min or so. I love 70's stuff and I got the gags but overall those two movies just didn't work. A vanity project gone wrong, IMO.

I know everyone loves R Dogs but I don't put it in the same category with Pulp Fiction. It had style to burn but the editing was shaky and some of the characters got lost in the mix. For example, none of the actual robbery footage survived the cut. Good flic but it does not make my top ten.

Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill Vol I are two of the greats in American cinema.

Nice writer but one of the worst directors in Hollywood. Also every movie he does is the same movie over and over again, including the addition of a strip joint.

Tarantino= A little boy who never grew out of tearing the wings off flies. The cinema of sadistic, self-serving tripe.

So what will keep him from dragging Huffpost into court for copyright infringement and monetary damages for publishing the guy's script online?
