***UPDATE***

Read Carol Kreck's blog on her ordeal with the McCain campaign and the Secret Service.

From The Denver Post:

It was Sen. John McCain's staff who asked security at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts to remove people holding protest signs at the venue -- not U.S. Secret Service agents, who were not involved in Carol Kreck's ouster from the galleria.

A video of the incident circulating widely on the Internet shows a DCPA security guard saying that he was told by the Secret Service to remove Kreck, who was holding a paper sign that said "McCain = Bush."

But Thursday, after two days of being vilified by bloggers, letter writers and others, the Secret Service emphatically denied involvement.

"Contrary to some recent reporting, the Secret Service had no involvement in Ms. Kreck being removed from the area," said Malcolm D. Wiley Sr., spokesman for the Secret Service. "It was not done at our request or suggestion. Any assertion to the contrary is inaccurate and inconsistent with our established policies and procedures."

Read the rest of the article here and watch the video of Kreck being escorted out by police for carrying the sign:

John McCain,Geo. Bush,Dick Cheney,Karl Rove,Steve Schmidt,Newt Gingrich,Sean Hannity et al HATE the Constitution and hate Free Speech.

Newt Gingrich(R)&Republicans want to strip our Constitutional rights to Freedom of Speech by dismantling websites HE & other Republicans find 'dangerous'.

Quote Gingrich-Nov28,2007
"we will adopt rules of engagement that we use every technology we can find to break up their capacity to use the Internet, to break up their capacity to use free speech, "

“This is a serious, long-term war,” Gingrich added, “and it will inevitably lead us to want to know what is said in every suspect place in the country. It will lead us to learn how to close down every Web site that is dangerous.”

....hmmm....

Our Country IS our Constitution.
Right wingers hate this country BECAUSE they hate our Constitution.

Rightwingers are NO DIFFERENT than Stalin,Hiter,Pol Pot, "afford the people NO freedom."

If the People congregate-online,in homes,on street corners-to criticize government, arrest them, call them friends to terrorists, send them Guantanamo where they'll NEVER get a trial to defend themselves against evil dictators-Rightwingers.

Don't think that could never happen. Remember McCarthy(R) and HIS 10 year Second Red Scare1947-1957).

Rightwingers want to control American Society.

When McCain has protestors arrested, McCain's Party talks about closing down Internet sites, who is the one who’s going to decide? Maybe Huffington Post, Daily Kos, Citizens for Legitimate Government, it could be the sports Web site Dead Spin, if they don’t like them.

Rep. Jane Harman (D-CA) likes Newt's ideas:

http://frankfurterschool.com/2008/04/09/be-very-afraid-jane-harman/

Harman's H.R. 1955: Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 that has passed the House:

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h110-1955

"The bill has earned the nickname 'The Thought Crimes Bill' because of its Orwellian language and its focus on dissent as an indicator of potential violent radicalization."

Just like with his recent handling of the press, if McCain is afraid of little old ladies holding signs on public property, then what qualifies him to be able to go toe to toe with somebody like Putin or Kim Jong-il? He is too much of a coward to be president.

CU-Boulder Students And Non-Students Are Reminded: State Law Targets Unruly Revelers
Sept. 16, 2004

Campus police at the University of Colorado at Boulder and city authorities have a constructive reminder for students as they settle in for the fall semester: be aware that state law targets out-of-control celebrations.

Inciting or engaging in a riot, disorderly conduct and damaging personal or public property are all against the law in Colorado. According to a state law that took effect in June 2002, college students convicted of rioting offenses will be prohibited from attending any state-supported college or university for one year.

But bystanders also can get in trouble - even if they are only watching - if they don't listen to police when given orders to leave.

More FUN to come at the convention!

If one of the criteria is damaging personal or public property, they should have arrested every single repug in attendance, including Johnny McGaffe.

We'll have no straight-talking old people at McCAin rallies. She is lucky she wasn't tasered or shot. This is a GOP controlled event after all--not like it happened in public or anything. That's why the have planted operatives at press conferences. BUt they aren't "ELITISTs" oh no never not them

Mentioning the sitting President of the United States is offensive to conservatives.

It "ruins" an event. They get all mopey and SAD :)

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:08 AM on 07/12/2008

It didn't "ruin" the event. She was given a choice of entering the event sans sign and chose to show her arse instead.

It does appear to have ruined the weekend of many here. This thread is entering the second day as the headline.

Can we mention President Bush?

Or is that too offensive? Will that ruin the event? I understand running from the guy, but this is ridiculous.

We're supposed to pretend he doesn't exist?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:04 AM on 07/12/2008

Why do you consider Bambi = Mc Govern offensive?

A closer parallel exists in that comparison than M cCain = B ush.

Ha! List the policy differences between your nominee and your President.

"A closer parallel exists"....talking like a pundit doesn't make it TRUE.

List. Make one.

Obama has shown and demonstrated rather effectively that he is not a stamp of the last failed Democratic nominees; and thus the republican's rush to claim he is flip flopping. In fact, Obama has been fairly consistent on all of his views; including FISA which he choose to veer away from those on the left who wanted a temporary win over the long term prospect of actually being able to totally fix this program. Compromise has always been the hallmark of an effective leader and suddenly the republicans are finding that Obama is quite capable of being pragmatic than ideological like McGovern, Dukasis, Carter, Gore and Kerry.

The Bambi tag is cute, but no one on the left today believes Obama is afraid to stand for what he believes, your inept attempt to paint Obama as McGovern is rather empty and means little to the substantive platform in which he has always advocated as the basis for how he will operate and govern.

Now, it's Dana Perino that has a decision to make.

The same people who are backing McCain backed Bush.

In terms of accepting advice on matters of importance, it's logical to look at the track record.

I don't know why this simple fact is "offensive" to conservatives.

I'm sorry. I've criticised your statements and ridiculed you. Had I realised earlier you really were a r e t a r d, I would not have done that.

Again, I'm sorry.

Can someone read this to him/her and explain it to them and let them know it's an apology?

Thanks...
