***UPDATE***

Read Carol Kreck's blog on her ordeal with the McCain campaign and the Secret Service.

From The Denver Post:

It was Sen. John McCain's staff who asked security at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts to remove people holding protest signs at the venue -- not U.S. Secret Service agents, who were not involved in Carol Kreck's ouster from the galleria.

A video of the incident circulating widely on the Internet shows a DCPA security guard saying that he was told by the Secret Service to remove Kreck, who was holding a paper sign that said "McCain = Bush."

But Thursday, after two days of being vilified by bloggers, letter writers and others, the Secret Service emphatically denied involvement.

"Contrary to some recent reporting, the Secret Service had no involvement in Ms. Kreck being removed from the area," said Malcolm D. Wiley Sr., spokesman for the Secret Service. "It was not done at our request or suggestion. Any assertion to the contrary is inaccurate and inconsistent with our established policies and procedures."

Read the rest of the article here and watch the video of Kreck being escorted out by police for carrying the sign:

I'm sure Fox didn't report this story, but did any of MSM report it?

When dealing with a story about JMc, I do wish we could find other words
for "can't remember" because my hands start to shake. How about, "I can't
recall?"
"Give me a second and I will check it on my computer." Sorry that was futile, I
know.
Sorry, just having fun.

We could all carry little signs that say "McBush" and flash them at all Repukelican affairs. Think these guys believe in freedom in numbers ?

We should all carry MCCAIN = BUSH signs for the rest of the campaign season. If they arrest all of McCain's followers, then we'll know for sure HE WON'T WIN.

Roger Ailes, chairman of Fox News, called Sn*w a "renaissance man."

What the hell does that mean ? Oh, never mind.

Then comes the stupid cop that thinks that trespassing is similar to holding the sign ...

America, please wake up !!!

Carol Kreck has the courage of her convictions. Good for her. We live in a pretty scary country right now more reason why we can't afford a Bush=Mcain!

What next the gestapo at our doors asking for our keyboards?

Yeah America, that's what you guys call and cherish as the "freedom of speech" ???

All my american friends used to tell me about the so-called famous "freedom of speech" of America.
That would make me laugh so HARD !
You guys get tasered for a speeding tickets of for skateboarding !
Come over in Europe to see what REAL freedom of speech and freedom to demonstrate really is.
By asking that inoffensive grandma to get lost, McCain and his crew showed the world that he's no better than a Fidel Castro or a Kim Jong Il.

I miss the America of 1999 ... This America no longer exist, RIP

Signed by a European that lived 7 years in the USA that loves this country but would not go back to Bush's dictatorship or McCain fascist acts

Now you GO TO JAIL just for mentioning somebody's name! B---ush is his buddy. So that makes it alright for macdaddy to throw his buddies under the bus along with everybody else who says something he doesn't like.

If you can't see where we are going in America, you must need some glasses. Fascism is showing it's ugly head every single day. B---ush is the "dicktator" and macdaddy is just a dick. They are the worse leaders of a supposedly free nation than anyone can imagine. I bet the world is laughing at us like we are cartoons. I'm sure everybody everywhere can see the mire we're in but us.

If this don't wake you up America, I don't know what will. The republicans have lost their minds. A little old lady saying macdaddy = b----ush is now a crime for which you will get a ticket and have to go to court. Everybody who goes to a macdaddy speech should bring signs saying the same thing. The whole audience should have the same sign. And see if they throw out the entire audience. If they don't, then this lady should have a case. If they do, then macdaddy will talk to the walls cause he aint' saying doo doo anyway.

Macdaddy is a sorry specimen of a proposed president.

In a fascist state, speaking the truth becomes a revolutionary act and a threat to the existing order.

People on this forum are outraged and rightly so to have a librarian intimidated for speaking the truth that McCain will continue Bush policies especially on Iraq.

What is far more outrageous is that Congress will not impeach Bush for lying us into a war that has killed 4000 US soldiers, injured 30,000, killed 1 million plus Iraqi civilians, created 5 million orphans and 5 million Iraqi refugees on a population of only about 27.5 million. Nancy Pelosi has failed us as much as Bush and McCain who blithely sings "Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" full knowing the carnage war has caused in Iraq.

You should be. It's going straight to h*ll in a handbasket. We have a power hungry party that wants to eat us up and spit us out. They want us to OBEY their every word and PERFORM like good little robotons. Don't ask questions, don't do what you've been told not do, don't speak negatively about them, and give them all your money. Are you ready for them?

Definitely a "sign" of the times.
When I read the story, I thought about Bush only allowing his good "Republican ticket holders" within 8 blocks of his "public" speech's. These guys really have thin skin.

My God, My God ... "city property" is PUBLIC property. This woman did nothing wrong. What has this nation become????

That's a good question and the answer is WE'VE BECOME AN EMPIRE. Empires are not governed - Empires are RULED. The Emperor can not be messed with by anybody. Especially Little Old Ladies with signs.

You did read the story, did you?

If you did you missed this part:

A previous federal appeals court decision determined that the galleria area where Kreck was standing is not necessarily a public spot and that protests can be curtailed there.

Kreck, a 60-year-old librarian and former Denver Post reporter, was cited for trespassing by Denver police at the Monday event.

Now stand up for the rule of law and admit she was in the wrong.

Would you happen to know the citation or the party names and year for the federal appeals court decision you mention. I'd like to learn more about it.

Thanks!

..."not necessarily..." are the key words. It did NOT SAY IT WAS SO! Plus it said ..."protests can be CURTAILED there".......NOT THAT YOU SHOULD CEASE AND DESIST PROTESTS. So that's like 6 of one and 1/2 dozen of another. Those are fighting words and she needs to fight.

Are you r e t a r d e d?

Didn't the police officer give her two choices, either stay with the sign and receive a ticket for trespassing, or get rid of the sign and stay and view the event?

If she was trespassing, whether or not she had the sign should not have made a difference.

I think removing the woman toting the sign would cause more of a controversy then leaving her. McCain needs to function on finding "mojo" for his campaign.
