I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Harry Reid has just waded into the firestorm over yesterday's claim from McCain adviser Phil Gramm that the economic downturn is "mental" and that Americans are simply "whining."

"Graham has a view of government which is that government is the enemy, not a friend," Reid said in an interview this afternoon with CongressionalVideo.com. "And, obviously from his comments, he now believes the American people are not his friend either, and he has a low view of the American people. Thinks they're a bunch of whiners."

In fact, Reid said, "every segment of our economy is in deep trouble. Deep trouble. We have the housing market, which is falling apart. We have gas prices which are astronomical, people can't even afford to drive to work in many instances."

The Senate Majority Leader saved some of his powder for his colleague from Arizona. "You tie that in with what McCain has said, that he doesn't understand the economy...and he's relying on someone who says that the economy is in good shape and the Americans are a bunch of whiners. We should all worry about the Republican nominee."

Well NOT all the American people are whiners. Just the ones who have no idea how to strategize during times like this.
Hint: Quite charging stuff!

Absolute RUBBISH! The government didn't get us into the mortgage meltdown. Lack of responsible government oversight is what allowed that to happen. The rest of this mess falls on CONSERVATIVE GOVERNMENT, which is a proven failure. Don't blame all governments for the failure of the conservative brand.

Oh boy. Neo Cons. You just gotta love 'em, don"t ya? First they create and perpetuate a "1929" mindset and enviorment then belittle the people they have damaged in the process. Gramm is simply typical of his republican brethren, heartless, lawless and completely indifferent to the misery they cause with their evil, party-line tactics. To say Gramm has a "Low View of the American People" is far too generous. We are the drones and they are the "Queens."

While it is welcome to see Sen. Reid take a verbal blast as Republican one-man economic wrecking-ball Phl Gram, it is entirely too little and too timid. The stupid, cowering, complicit Democrat 'leadership' have SQUANDERED 18 months to PAINT the Bush administration as criminally corrrupt at every turn, as they are. Bush pardons (commutes sentence) of Lewis "Scooter" Libby's PERJURY and OBSTRUCTION of JUSTICE _CONVICTION_ - - - Pelosi & Reid do NOTHING
Karl Rove thumbs nose at Congressional Subpoena - Pelosi, Reid DO NOTHING.
Cheney hands BILLION dollar NO-BID, NO OVERSIGHT CONTRACTS to Halliburton and Blackwater - Reid, Pelosi DO NOTHING.

This cowardice and complicity of Democrats IS PLAYING WITH FIRE. Just recall - in 1995 Dem. President Bill Clinton was in process of turning around the Bush1 Recession, the Recession caused when REPUBLICAN DEREGULATION policies led to the Looting & Plundering of S&Ls of BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars.
But McVeigh didn't focus his murderous rage against Repub Loot, Pillage & Plunder policies - he focused his rage on "tax and spend big government" and blew up the Oklahoma govt. building.

The Bush1 Deficits and Bush1 Recession; the Bush2 defiits and Bush2 Recession, and now Phil Gramm, a major architect of BOTH of those financial meltdowns, is pushing MORE loot, plunder, and rape the taxpayers for benefit of wealthy policies - and Reid and Pelosi are too stupid to even connect the dots, much less try to DEFINE Republican policies as the CAUSE of these disasters.

Let's all whine incessantly, constantly, loudly until we get those "with the program" in Washington to actually do what we want.

It's probably the new sound that's confusing them.

Frankly, I agreed with Gramm. We/they are a bunch of whiners. Except, the real problem is most people are up to their eyeballs credit debt, school debt and housing debt. Many people got loans (esp in CA) where they were getting loans at 110% loan to value and in some cases people in CA were "renting loans" during their approval period in order to have it appear that there savings were adequate.

When Harry Reid says someone has a low opinion of the American people, he oughta know.
Every morning he sees a man in his mirror that has thee l-o-w-e-s-t opinion of Americans. Everything he and his mates have done speaks volumes on this. All heil Bushco's whims. Forget the American people.
Harry Pot, meet Kettle Gramm.

Sen. Reid, it is you who have a low opinion of the American people. The last mid-terms you were given distinct marching orders from the American voter;stop that criminally retarded Idiot's War and start reversing all the fail policies of this brain damaged juvenile deliquent president that has caused this country and the rest of the world so much harm. You clearly waste alot of time worrying about non-issues and writing books. Is there any possiblity that sometime in the near future you might consider doing your job, looking out after the interests of the American people?

The thing is, he never intended it. You just bought the beautiful campaign slogan he and Na-ncy Pelousy had. They got the house. It was all they wanted.

Another in the distinguished line of Texas politicians out standing in their field..
Ruminating their vitriolic cud.

We can only hope this is the year he plans to run for re-election. Lucky is the Democrat that runs against this example of conservative compassion brought to you by the Grand Oil Party..

And no matter how bad the rest of your day is going, isn't it a tiny bright spot that he doesn't represent you?

Don't you just love the idea that he is on some Economics Committees .
It's exactly like having Cruella DeVille chairing the board of the ASPCA.

"he has a low view of the American people" -

And why shouldn't he? The American public voted Bush into the WH twice!
America accepted his Enron Loophole and deregulation of financial oversight.
