Undercover Investigation: Lobbyist With Ties To White House Offers Access In Exchange For Bush Library Donations

A lobbyist with close ties to the White House is offering access to key figures in George W Bush's administration in return for six-figure donations to the private library being set up to commemorate Bush's presidency.

Stephen Payne, who claims to have raised more than $1m for the president's Republican party in recent years, said he would arrange meetings with Dick Cheney, the vice-president, Condoleezza Rice, the secretary of state, and other senior officials in return for a payment of $250,000 (£126,000) towards the library in Texas.

Payne, who has accompanied Bush and Cheney on several foreign trips, also said he would try to secure a meeting with the president himself.

Wow! What I don't get is the mention of Joe Biden! How do Bush fundraisers bring in Joe Biden? When I originally saw the author's name I was thinking Dusty Foggo, I sure hope there's no relation. Otherwise it is surely a damming piece of evidence against the whole Bush cabal.

Biden's mention is a big problem for Biden and us. Does this scumbag lobbyist have a history of making "contributions" to Biden? What interests of this lobbyist has Biden been involved with? We are going to have to ask. This shouldn't surprise us because we the people have known we are getting screwed by our "leaders", but it is still a kick in the gut to see it happening.
