Schwarzenegger: I'd Be Obama's Energy Czar (VIDEO)

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said on ABC's "This Week" that he would be open to serving as Barack Obama's energy czar:

"I'm always ready to help in any way I can, the United States," Schwarzenegger said. "I've committed myself to be a public servant. I said to myself, 'This country has given me everything. It's my time, now. I'm through with the acting and all of those things that I've done, body building."

Asked about Obama, he said, "I take his call now, and I will take his call when he's president -- any time. Remember, no matter who is president, I don't see this as a political thing, I see this as we always have to help, no matter what the administration is."

Schwarzenegger endorsed John McCain in January. But he recently criticized McCain's energy policy, saying anyone who claims offshore drilling will lower gas prices is "blowing smoke."

ARNOLD : Go to Beijing Olympics and tell the coolies to stop burning dirty coal, and using so much oil. Tell them to use wind power, batteries, ans solar panels; and that they should continue to ride their Rayleigh bicycles. What is their problem, Arnold? Don't they understand English?

I have a demo : Use a large canister of CO2 from a fire extinguisher, place a water puddle on the floor. Pour a little gasoline on top and light it; and then take the extinguisher, open it full blast and place it just above the flame.

It puts out the fire and if a sufficient supply of CO2 is present, you can freeze the water. This proves the opposite : cooling from CO2.

Arnold wants to help out investors in Asia. That is the political side of global warming and its actual cause.

There is a contest for the lamest scientific explanation of global warming : a guy with a bowl of ice cubes in water tinted blue! That is even better than the guy who went to Alaska with some members of his class to place 4 wooden stakes in the ground, enclose a volume w/saran wrap and measure the internal temp with the sun shining on it. I wonder how much that set the tax payer back! Were they all faculty kids?

Arnold said that there is a large cardboard cutout of Obama that Maria puts right beside Arnold's chair at the dinner table, so maybe he is being influenced in a good way. He had better take it because he has no chance of becoming president, some thing it is said he would like.

I get the Kennedy connection attractiveness in offering Schwarzenegger a spot somewhere in the administration ... but energzy czar? Aren't we kind of tired of political dilettantes taking high-level positions with no real expertise? I know I am. Is California better off in the energy arena than it would have been without their Governor Schwarzenegger calling the shots politically?

A long time ago, Obama said he'd like to have Republicans like Dick Lugar, Chuck Hagel and Arnold Swarzneggar in his cabinet. I think that's a terrific idea and I think that kind of thinking is going to make Barack Obama one of the greatest presidents in American history.

I just DON'T trust Schwartzenegger.

He has flipped a lot in California. And spent a lot of time fighting with teachers/nurses his first term.

However, I think he would be a good replacement for Senator Feinstein. Lately she is totally worthless!
