Chris Matthews Confuses Barack Obama And Osama Bin Laden Once Again

Talking about the flap over The New Yorker's controversial cover featuring Barack and Michelle Obama, Chris Matthews slipped up -- once again -- and said "Osama Bin Laden" when he meant to say "Barack Obama." Matthews quickly caught and corrected himself.

Are you sure he didn't just misspeak? I'll be Chris Matthews is one of the last people who would actually confuse Barack Obama and Osama Bin Ladden.

Stopped watching him and Gregory. Keith and Abrams are about the best they have to0 offer. Keith because he tells the truth and Abrams because he atleast attempts to call it down the middle.

Let's see; MSNBC, who I always liked to think was more objective than FIX news has: Pat Buchanan, Andrea Mitchell, David Gregory, Chuck Todd, Joe Scarborough, and that pontificating pansy Brian Williams, alll of whom pretend to paint an objective portrait of politics in America and yet give John McCain a major free ride. The token liberals are Rachel Maddow, Keith Olberman, and Dan Abrams. And then there are the morning mynah birds who talk as fast as Chris Matthews but are real dumb - Contessa and that crowd. CM is annoying but his curiosity is somewhat infectious and he IS a democrat (as was Tim Russert.) CM was one of Jimmy Carter's speech writer's. I truly don't want to believe that he purposely makes those slips. His brain is just all over the place and he doesn't know how to pace his dialogue. Of course NBC is owned by GE, so go figure.

Chris Matthews was a speechwriter for President Carter and later served as a Senior Aide for Speaker Tip O'Neill - He's been around.

I don't think people should be getting their news from the idiot box in the first place, but that's beside the point. What Matthews lacks in shiny, flap-free appeal, he more than makes up for in real world political experience and that deserves to be recognized.

After all, he IS in the same business as Bill O'Reilly...
