Cindy McCain: "In Arizona The Only Way To Get Around The State Is By Small Private Plane" (VIDEO)

Cindy McCain recently gave a rare private interview to CNN in which she disclosed her opinions on transportation in Arizona, her home state. The McCains have tried to distance themselves from elitism, but apparently Mrs. McCain believes that the only way to get around is by "small private plane."

I took "Ground School" and learned to fly, too! It is really not much different than learning to drive a car. No big deal.

The thing is it is just too expensive to "go buy a plane", and then go buy the gas, the insurance, the hanger, etc. Only a few people can do that!

Cindy is exceptionally average.

John McCain’s understanding of the economy.

Yep! John McCain understands our pain! This is the man that said you should work a second job, skip a vacation. In his March 25, 2008 speech, McCain made it clear that selling Barbie dolls or Hummel figurines on eBay isn’t John McCain’s only prescription for Americans facing economic difficulties. The other? Just work harder. McCain encouraged Americans to emulate the 51 million homeowners doing what is necessary — working a second job, skipping a vacation, and managing their budgets — to make their payments on time. How about just marring a millionaire and never having to worry about the economy?

Can you imagine how much the poor woman has to pay for fuel for her plane? I'm sure she feels our pain. And how independent and spunky of her to get her pilot's license without Nut's permission.

Okay, I'm torn. I teach on the Navajo Reservation, and I have to drive 65 miles to do my grocery shopping. So I understand where she is coming from, but the McCains live in the Phoenix area, which is the heart of the state. They aren't far from anything.

So, I guess what you're saying is that when you do your grocery shopping, you jump into your small private plane that you have parked in your private hangar behind your home and fly to Lucky's to get your victuals. Right? After all, that's the only way normal non-elitist people travel around Arizona. When I lived in Phoenix, that's how I went to the market-just jumped into my small private plane and flew down the block to get a gallon of milk and some eggs. Then I flew back home. See, that's the only way to travel around Arizona.

Senator McCain, one word: EARMARK! Get the people of Arizona some decent roads, will you? Oh, I guess they don't have any lobbyists. You heard that, good people of Arizona. Take up a collection and hire a lobbyist to get your Senator to build you decent roads.

Or perhaps instead of a chicken in every pot, the McCains can promise a plane in every driveway!
