McCain Adviser Fiorina: McCain Could Raise Taxes On Wealthy

At the end of an article on John McCain's flimsy economic know-how, Bloomberg includes an interesting admission from adviser Carly FIorina:

"In an interview, Carly Fiorina, a top adviser, explains that any tax increases on 'middle- and working-class' Americans are off limits. She says if a bipartisan coalition is 'creative enough' to fashion tax increases on wealthier Americans, that may prove palatable.

That's encouraging, until you consider that McCain doesn't always listen to his economic advisers. A few months ago, his top advisers counseled him that any reduction in the gasoline tax was bad energy and economic policy. A short while later, he advocated suspending the 18-cent-a-gallon tax for the summer."

Fiorina has also undercut her own statements on behalf of the candidate, saying that "most Americans are not really focused on what a bunch of surrogates are saying."

This is just another opportunity for a McSame flip flop. He seems to toss ideas out into the public to see what kind of reaction it brings, then if it is extreemly negative he changes his position. McCains economic plan is like playing a pin ball machine, you keep flipping the flipper, flopping the ball around to see where it hits, and what kind of score you generate; all the while developing a new strategy and plan incase of failure. Maybe we can call him MR McFlipper.

If McCain's advisors don't speak for him, why are they still his advisors? Why doesn't he get advisors that agree with him or that he'd even be willing to listen to?

yep, she ran HP into the ground!!! she spied illegally on her employees, made the decision to purchase Compaq. HP fired her and she got a 43 mil golden parachute. BTW she swears the war in Iraq has had no impact on our economy. She's out there.
