Helen Mirren: Bathing Bikini Beauty

Most women only a few days away from their 63rd birthday would be steering well clear of the beach.

And if they did venture there, it would be in the most modest of concealing attire.

Dame Helen Mirren, however, is happy to flaunt her enviable curves and flat stomach in a bikini.

It seems hard to believe that this is the same actress whose portrayal of the Queen won her an Oscar.

Yet this was no retouched studio shot, with the only work to transform her toned body having been carried out during gruelling hours in the gym.

Dame Helen is holidaying in Puglia, on the southern tip of Italy, with her film director husband Taylor Hackford, 63.

It's everything not just working out and not having kids. It's the total package of treating your body as your temple of worship. Eat right, drink right (I HIGHLY recommend KOMBUCHA TEA once a day), excercise right and keep your mind right (I recommend a strong connection to nature...m­editation isn't necessary.­..just go out and marvel at the greens and fauna). Perfect bodies are not the ends to these means. Healthy mind, body and spirit are.

Oh my. A lovely woman, a brilliant actress. Intelligent, classy, and so forth and so on. Now compare her with Madonna. Is the difference between them merely generational? Mirren was/is not a prude, after all, and Madonna was certainly beautiful when she chose to be. I believe there IS a difference, however -- an important one.

Helen Mirren is just the epitomie of 'sexy". I have always thought she was just striking and because of a bikini. She ozes sex appeal. She has been my favorite at since Excalibur. As a 51 yr old my self and mother of three grown children, when I see young people so caught up on their size and outward appearance I just want to tap them on the shoulder and whisper "it's ok". Sex appeal is nothing you can spray on, slip on, or loose a few pounds or have surgery to fix. It doesn't shout at you from acorsss a romm. It beckons you in for a closer look. Take it from me, if you think you're sexy, feel you're sexy, act sexy, you are.
