Laura Ingraham Behind The Scenes Video: Angry At Producers, Thinks She Looks Shiny

Laura Ingraham gets the Katie Couric treatment as Harry Shearer's MyDamnChannel posts another of its now-famous "Found Objects" series. The video, seen below, is a compilation of behind the scenes footage from the first few weeks of Ingraham's Fox News program, "Just In." In the clips, Ingraham is seen regularly getting angry with producers and the staff — however, it should be noted, her complaints seem largely within reason, and it's the Fox News staff that comes off looking worse than the host.

I work in TV news. I can't stand her commentary on air or politics. However, she is conducting her herself as a professional in every way, trying to prepare for the madness that ensues at times during a production. She is on the receiving end of a long chain of incompetence.

"The Fox way" is my favorite line.

I would not have a problem working with her. So long as I didn't talk politics with her. The headline for this article is very deceiving and trivial. Worried about shine is the very least of her worries trying to get on the air with these idiots.

For the record. Her show was scheduled for a 3 week run. And that's what it was.

I hate to say this, because I find this woman's opinions hateful and reprehensible, but she comes off looking pretty good here. She's always explaining very carefully what's wrong and what she needs, and thought she gets a bit exasperated she doesn't really seem to lose her temper. It's live TV after all, which is a pretty stressful situation.

Laura comes off great in this video, I think. And, I am no fan of hers.

She wants competence from Fox News and she is frustrated at not getting it.

I was able to get to the 4:30 mark of the video before I got bored due to its repetitiveness and, yes, isi, I have to agree with you. She comes off as being a cool cat under pressure.

I have nothing but disdain for Laura Ingraham's politics and combative "communication" style. However, she seems incredibly even-tempered in her response to what seems like real incompetence on the part of the FOX producers. Having worked in television for many years, I can say first hand that she's mild compared to many entertainers (talk to ANYONE who worked for Rosanne or Brett Butler, for example.)

She's about to go live, on the air and she doesn't have the NAME OF THE GUEST? I'd go bat sh#$#$, myself.

It looks like the cameraman and Ms. Ingraham are the only ones that know their jobs. It's amazing how she is cool under pressure. Live TV is "walking a tightrope without a net". It's her that looks bad when someone is not doing their job. The prompter operator needs to read over the script for typos, the studio staff come and go as they please, distracting the host. The Assistant Director needs to know how to give quick burst communications through the IFB. The Make-up person isn't watching the monitor for shine on the forehead.

I've never watched Ms. Ingraham personally and don't care about her editorial views, but it sounds like she's taking up the slack for a lackey production staff that maybe should go back to school to learn it the right way. My My advice to Ms. Ingraham is stay away from Fox TV, who hires Production Assistants and bumps them up to Producer in a New York second.

As a freelancer I am so glad that I have enough work in NYC so as I don't have to sell my soul to Fox!
