Wall Street Journal:

The McCain campaign dispatched its top female surrogate Tuesday to meet with about 25 disaffected supporters of Sen. Hillary Clinton in Westchester, N.Y.

Carly Fiorina, the former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard Co. and a top adviser to Republican Sen. John McCain, met with the former Clinton backers at a private home for more than an hour and a half. Fiorina said in an interview that over glasses of iced tea and finger food, she fielded questions from Democratic women she described as "intensely uncomfortable with the notion of a President Obama.''

Both McCain and his Democratic rival, Sen. Barack Obama have both been courting the 17 million or so people who voted for the New York senator during the primary season.

The Westchester meeting came at the behest of former Clinton supporters, some of whom have said - adamantly - that they won't support Obama. Polls show Obama winning the majority of support from women voters while about a quarter of ex-Clinton supporters are leaning toward McCain. The meeting wasn't stocked with typical voters, however. These were prominent activists and fund-raisers, including several known as "Hillraisers,'' who raised more than $100,000 for Clinton during the primary season. "I didn't ask how many of them were Hillraisers but certainly a number of them were,'' Fiorina said.

Nor, Fiorina said, did she ask the women whether Clinton knew they had arranged the meeting with her. Clinton has endorsed Obama and urged her supporters to help defeat McCain.

Hmmm, Bush would redefine contraceptives as "abortion" and the so called Hillraisers would even even consider McCain is beyond comprehension.

Do they hate Hillary that much that they'd vote against her so venomously?

I'd like to meet this Fiorina in a back alley one day--I have a personal bone to pick with her. I purchased one of her piece o' sh*t laptop computers which was constructed like a toy. It crashed in less than 6 months and I had to go out and buy another computer in these tight economic times--a Toshiba which is built like a tank by comparison. Before she arrived on the scene- Compaq and HP turned out decent machines!

You don't understand the word "success" in Fiorina's world.

It means "I got mine; screw you." As long as she got rich it is irrelevant that she was incompetent or caused an inferior product to be put on the market and sold to unsuspecting buyers. She was able to fool enough people for a long enough time to retire and now move in the circles of the uber rich - that is "success" to her. So you and others who toil at your meaningless everyday jobs for a salary that (maybe) allows you to make ends meet, you are ants to Fiorina whose votes can be bought with slick misleading ads produced from the campaign contributions of a few rich people.

It pleases me no end that Fiorina is heavily involved with Hillary and McCain's campaigns! This will absolutely guarantee their abysmal failures since she is the kiss of death on any endeavor. Just witness what she did to Compaq-Hewlett Packard. She presided over their merger and subsequent destruction. As you will recall, these used to be two of the premiere computer electronic brands in the country. Today they are floundering shells of their former selves-cranking out shoddy, worthless product. We can only hope she does to these two campaigns what she did to these two companies--run them into the ground!

I hope they like the idea that they have the right to reject health insurance that covers viagra but not contraceptives and be without insurance coverage.

When Fiorino fouled things up so badly at Hewlett-Packard that she was forced to leave, she got a $20 million golden parachute. When ordinary working people are laid off, even when it is not their fault, they get squat. This woman is an elitist's elititist. The Hillraisers who listen to her are elitist dilletantes who do not care about the issues. For them politics is simply an amusing parlor game.

Like I have said many times on this site, Obama should pick someone he respects (and who respects him); someone with "executive experience"; someone who is popular with both DEMS and Republicans. Who? Gov. Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas.

Picking Sebelius would be awesome for many obvious reasons, but it would reveal to the voters something interesting: if the goal of the disgruntled Hillraisers and hysterical P.U.M.A. crowd is about putting a woman on the ticket, or about just putting "Hillary" on the ticket.

I have my opinion on the matter: they want "Hillary" and no one else. I just want him to pick Sebelius so it can be confirmed for all to see.

Very sad, sad situation. They would put the futures and well-being of all women in danger because they (middle-aged WHITE WOMEN supporters of Hillary) want to "teach Obama a lesson" for defeating Hillary by out-fundraising her with more donors; out -organizing her, especially in Caucus States; and out-shining her with more State wins (33).

This women need to get a life for real.

Agreed. PUMAs are not feminists, they are a cult of personality focused on Hillary alone.

Feminists would never say about Sebelius, "don't even consider that highly qualified woman"!
