Jon Stewart spends eight minutes on the economy, comparing and contrasting the opinions of President Bush and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke on the economy. Best moment: "One is a glass half full kind of guy and the other is an expert on the economy."

Bernanke has never been an economic expert, he has been the worse.

Printing money, just like Ron Paul warned is the cause of most of our problems. Time to wake up.

I had to laugh when I saw Bernanke being grilled yesterday in Congress. A Rep asked him, How can we get Americans to save more money?

I guess he doesn't get it. The last thing the FED and the banks want is Americans with big savings accounts. They want us all broke, taking out more loans. That is is how they create more wealth for themselves. They would have to pay us interest on our savings accounts.

I, for one, insist that taxpayers bailout the banks and mortgage lenders.....we must not let them fail....I simply cannot stomach the thought of having to serve their thousand's of lobbyists in the soup & bread lines.

We can balance our own checkbooks??? The market works??? Well, Booo$hie can't balance his and having to choose between gas, rent and food is not the market working!

Great piece of contrasting tape. Clearly Stewart pointed out there was no accident. Booo$hie wanted to blunt the bad news with his PR feel-goodism. Stewart should have called it "cockeyed optimism."

Any one care to point out that Ben AGREES with the assessment that oil prices are high due to high demand and short supply? Anyone? How about the fact that he and Bush were saying DIFFERENT things about DIFFERENT aspects of the economy?

I keep hearing that the tone will change when Barak is elected, and that will help the economy? So when HE sees the half full glass, things will get better?
