Former Obama Aide Tried To Profit Off "Change"

A former campaign and legislative aide to Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) has sought government affairs clients in Washington by reminding potential prospects:

"Should 'CHANGE' occur in November as polls indicate, we should see a lot of people from Illinois moving to Washington D.C. and taking key spots in an Obama administration. Now is the time to anticipate these changes."

Obama's campaign called the e-mail "inappropriate," and the former aide said he'll be more careful in the future.

Why didn't HP's headline writers use the POLITICO's headline? To "Profit Off..." looks & sounds so tabloid as in "Can I bum a cigarette off you?". To "Profit From.." looks & sounds much better than "Profit Off...". Where are HP's monitors/editors? Does HP have or use a style sheet/book? The NYT used to have a Style Book which was used by other publications.

And in the end, "change" is about the monetary kind. At least Obama had the grace to condemn this. but it says something about his judgment to start with.
