The Back Of Mccain

ABC News reports that McCain has attended zero of his Senate committee's six hearings on Afghanistan in the last two years:

The McCain campaign criticism of Sen. Barack Obama's hearing record on Capitol Hill led us to put the shoe on the other foot.

It turns out that presumptive Republican nominee Sen. John McCain, has attended even fewer Afghanistan-related Senate hearings over the past two years than Obama's one. Which is a nice way of saying, McCain, R-Ariz., the top Republican on the Senate Armed Service Committee, has attended zero of his committee's six hearings on Afghanistan over the last two years...

...The findings are surprising given the fact that the McCain campaign loudly criticized Obama this week for failing to schedule any hearings on Afghanistan in the last year and a half. Obama chairs the European Affairs Subcommittee of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which has oversight of military operations in Afghanistan.

The American public believes the war in Afghanistan is far more essential to the war on terror than the war in Iraq: 51% believe the U.S. must win the war in Afghanistan to succeed in the war on terror, whereas only 34% feel the same about the Iraq war.

That might work ... so now lets see ... what else can we apply the McCain principle(I named it for you) to ... hmmmm ... close my eyes first .

OK ... here goes ... there's no recession ... open my eyes ... hmmm ... doesn't seem to be working. Maybe if I click my heals together ... and close my eyes ... there's no recession ... open my eyes ... still there.

Screw this lets go for something big ... there's no Obama ... aha ... no ... there he is.

Hmmmm clearly there is something wrong with this principle ... people are starting to stare ... with all the heal clicking and all ... got to go.

Americans are looking for solutions for our country. They are sick of the tit for tat, and I say black and you say white kind of politics We need serious discussions and compromise to tackle these problems. The media stoke the fire with this mentality.

This is headlines because Obama was attacked by McCain for not chairing any hearings on a committee that he sits on. It's more of the same gotcha politics.

You know what warrants a headline? 100,000 people dying in this country because they have no access to health care. This is an obscene news story that never gets emphasized. Just once I would like to see a headline: "51,000th Person Dies This Year Due To Lack of Health Care Insurance Coverage".

The media elites will continue to play their horse race politics with their six figure salaries and while they run in their elitist circles, not caring or thinking that people dying for the reason stated above is real news.

McCain is clueless on so many points. The only reason he is where he is, is due to the pitiful list of candidates the GOP had on the stage. Remember, the "powers at be" within the GOP want someone just like Dubya who will be their puppet. He admits to knowing absolutely nothing about economics, has disdain for anyone who isn't a war vet, and cannot defend himself without being very angry. The man is a time bomb with a short fuse.

If he were to be President and he became angry to the point of going into one of his tirades, would he bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran?

How would he be able to negotiate with anyone if he has a fiery temper?

Where is the coolness that is needed in being a leader?

If being a war vet is necessary to be President, then Dubya, who was AWOL from his ANG fighter group to party and help a buddy run for office, surely cannot be considered qualified for his position.

A vote for McCain is a vote to continue ignoring the US Constitution and our rule of law. It is a vote to continue the sorry state of our economy. It is a continuation of death & destruction in the name of God.

We deserve someone better than McCain and Bushco. We need someone with hope, a vision of a better world for all, with the leadership skills and charisma to carry it off. We need Obama.

"John McCain - Lost in Space" is now the most viewed video on Brasscheck TV ever. By the end of the summer, I'm sure it will pass the 1 million views mark. Every hit movie deserves a sequel... In Part Two, we learn that in addition to being a liar and a warmonger (a trait he shares with Obama), John McCain was also a collaborator with the North Vietnamese during the Vietnam War. http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/371.html

This kind of HATE WEBSITE should be against the law. What lies, even I have to say that.
Either way, the MSM chose the candidates for us and this what we get every time.
We should have seen the light with Kucinich. He would have brought real change about.
But Obama is the lesser evil STILL.

It means it's a silly line of attack for JM.

HRC used it too. Silly when she did it, also. She hasn't attended a meeting since 2007.

1 year for O, 1 year for HRC, 2 years for JM.

After Mc'Cain accuses O'bama of not holding meetings on Afghanistan, when it is NOT his subcommittees job to do so, is perfectly newsworthy.

All of this sudden interest in hearings on Afghanistan and Iraq and the like is rather intriguing. If y'all were really interested in this kind of thing then the Democrats would have a whole other presumptive nominee for President. So, it might be wise to find another topic to focus your attention on...one less hypocritical.

Are you kidding me?
Even bush is starting to pick up on Obama's warmongering plans. Talking (not DOING, only talking) pull out of Iraq (kinda like Obama's S.433 section 4b) escalating Afghanistan, attacking Pakistan, threatening Iran. OOPS they forgot Obama's threatening Syria too. I guess they'll pick up on that one later.

McCain's campaign is more of the "sell the sizzle, not the steak" politics.

"I know how to win wars." (And just what wars have you won, Senator?)

"I am proud of my service to this country." (meaning being a prisoner for 5 years gave me experience that qualifies me to be president.)

"We must apply the same winning principles of Iraq to Afghanistan." (But I don't have enough interest in applying those principles to show up to vote.)

And on and on and on......
Senator, what's next - a fact finding mission to Czechoslovakia?

Enough of this atypical political bull rectal refuse. It is time for a change and the people want to hear specific plans about fixing the economy, health care and renewing the jobs in America. Whether someone has or has not gotten a haircut we could care less. What impacts us is what we care about and the people the nominee will have working with him to achieve his goals. Let's hear the goals for the first 100 days, based on what we know today. Than refine them. Stop the sniping and sarcasm..

"Americans are beginning to notice Obama's elevated opinion of himself. There's nothing new about narcissism in politics. Every senator looks in the mirror and sees a president. Nonetheless, has there ever been a presidential nominee with a wider gap between his estimation of himself and the sum total of his lifetime achievements?

Obama is a three-year senator without a single important legislative achievement to his name, a former Illinois state senator who voted "present" nearly 130 times.

As president of the Harvard Law Review, as law professor and as legislator, has he ever produced a single notable piece of scholarship? Written a single memorable article? His most memorable work is a biography of his favorite subject: himself.

It is a subject upon which he can dilate effortlessly. In his victory speech upon winning the nomination, Obama declared it a great turning point in history — "generations from now we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment" — when, among other wonders, "the rise of the oceans began to slow."

Of course, Bush now has a French ally in Sarkozy. I guess all things French are fine with the GOP again.
