Wall Street Journal Redraws Business Leaders' Headshots To Reflect Tough Times

Even The Wall Street Journal's famed stipple portraits (known internally as "hedcuts") aren't immune from the bummer that is the credit crisis.

Here's Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit in a June 7 story about his move to cut costs by closing branches in Japan. "Hey! I get to fire some people!"

Murdoch fingers are on this one. It is a very strange world when there are "faces redrawn" and faces photoshoped to suit the mood or the reporting station/MSM. Like with Fox and the "remake" on the faces of reporters they do not like as they please should be pointed out and they called on it for what it is. Never thought I'd see the day when people went out of their way to make pictures/drawings of others in serious news pieces to make a point or a goal.

The artist who Photoshopped the FOX head shots did it in a hurry, as it was a very poor and obvious job. It's simple to alter anything so that you can't tell it was done. I do it every day and there are hundreds and probably thousands like me who can do it without detection.
