CBS News' Lara Logan Lands First Overseas Interview With Barack Obama

Lara Logan, chief foreign affairs correspondent for CBS News, has landed the coveted first interview with Barack Obama while he's abroad, according to sources familiar with the arrangements.

Logan is to interview Obama on Sunday in Afghanistan, where he landed Saturday and then visited U.S. troops in three locations.

You can always spot a well-reasoned argument when it involves name-calling.

#1 - My nose is not wrinkled - at least not yet, maybe in 10 years time.
#2 - Although I admire McCain greatly, I am not a supporter.
#3 - I'm mature enough to refer to people by their names rather than to make stuff up - It's Senator McCain and Mrs. Cindy McCain.

By the way, would you be defending Ms. Logan if she worked for Fox News and supported the war? Didn't think so. It's not the invasion into her personal life that you dislike. I bet you despise Senator Clinton because she stayed President Clinton. No, she’s on your side and that’s all that matters.

When asked if he had doubts about his foreign policy vision.. he said... "Never"

They have now spun this so far from the truth that I'm not even sure what their point is....

I'm sad to see that the interview was not linked on this blog, but it doesn't surprise me, being CBS.

I found it on the CBS blog and it is a great interview. Obama is absolutely presidential. So presidential it must be scary for the powers at be who will probably do all they can to hide this.

Lara is terrific and astutely to the point, as always. I can't say enough good about the lady, my respect for her is so high. I really love her for being so real, and love her work.
