Hillary Clinton Campaign Aides Buy HRC2012.com Domain Name

Sometimes a website name is just a website name.

Maybe the move by a company that's worked closely with the former first lady is just what it seems: yet another step by Hillary Rodham Clinton to prepare for another run for the Senate from New York in four years. Or another run for the White House. We won't know, of course, for some time.

Who paid for this domain name registration? Surely she would not charge it to her campaign which is in debt. I'm guessing a book is coming out called "The Audacity of 18 Million Cracks In The Glass Ceiling" and its profit will cover this registration expense!

If Obama is elected President this year, she will be running for the Senate again in 2012. If he loses, she could still be running for the Senate - or she could give the Democratic Nomination another go. Or she could be running for guvernor somewhere. Securing the web page only secures the web page. It doesn't indicate anything except that she is prepared to keep working in politics four years from now. And frankly, we could have seen that coming without a web page having to tell us.

I can't help but wonder if she secured this .com through the most feminist of hosting companies, Go Daddy. Wouldn't that be appropriate?

Also, it is true that if she doesn't start 'working her heart out' for the presumptive nominee, soon, with some vigor, there won't be a 2012 for her. She won't have the backing.

Obamites should get something straight. Hillary Clinton owes Obama nothing beyond what she might volunteer to do as a good Democrat. It's entirely up to him whether he wins or loses. This is a gift election cycle for Democrats, and if Obama can't lead the party to victory in 2008 he will be the invisible man in 2012 with his entire political career behind him.

When real New York democrats think about how she and her minions tried to destroy the presumptive Democratic nominee, even her website won't help her win her Senate seat. I predict she'll carpetbag her way into another state's Senate seat. She is a self-interest opportunist.

The best indication of a politician's electoral strength is the quality of his/her opponents. Most New Yorkers can probably remember her first opponent in 2000 - Rick Lazio - but probably 99 out of 100 couldn't name her opponent in 2006 (John Spencer, mayor of Yonkers, NY). In 2012 she might as well run unopposed. People who live in NYS know this; only Clinton haters from elsewhere imagine otherwise. Same with Chuck Schumer.

i like photography and i'm fairly good at some aspects of it, but every "pro photographer" i've ever had contact with has been a complete j erk. now clearly not every or even most "pro photographers" are jerks, none the less if someone asks me if or tells me i should be a pro, i cringe in revulsion.

why do i bring this up? well i'm happy to vote for obama but based on the experience here at huffpo, i now have the same response to being called an "obama supporter". why do you guys have to be so nasty towards the clintons? you won, act like adults, be gracious, let's fight the republicans. you want to continue to infuriate clinton supporters it's your right, it's silly but hey it's your right. might be better to spend time letting O know caving on fisa was bad than driving away people that want the same basic things you do.

The paranoia is rampant here. Her senate seat is up in 2012. She is a woman with foresight to reserve that domain name for the possibility of running again for her senate seat given the type of groups from the right and the left who would want to buy every possible domain sight she could use for malevolent reasons and to keep all options open. I certainly hope Obama shows such foresight in his camp, too, so that the websites for 2012 are not purchased by some of the entrepreneur who buy all kinds of variations just to sell them back to candidates at blackmail costs. Her buying them now is indicative of now spending one's money more wisely. I suspect Obama has already bought his but you all just are not on a witch hunt to find something else to rile you up. I just feel sickened by the number of people with such hatred for her that they are totally unable to show any sense of objectivity. It must be really sad to have such fear overwhelming you all the time. You sound like a bunch of slightly unbalanced or immature children ready to jump when anyone looks at you in a way you interpret as "wrong." I worked at a junior high for high risk students who got to my school because of their fights which usually started because of thier tendency to misread every action of others and the posts here remind me of them.
