As Reuters reported earlier today, Iraqi Prime Minister al-Maliki has voiced his support for Obama's withdrawal plan. Needless to say, such support is not a PR victory for the Bush administration. And so it was no doubt embarrassing when, according to ABC's Jake Tapper, the White House sent the article--accidentally--to reporters:

The White House this afternoon accidentally sent to its extensive distribution list a Reuters story headlined "Iraqi PM backs Obama troop exit plan - magazine." [...}

The White House employee had intended to send the article to an internal distribution list, ABC News' Martha Raddatz reports, but hit the wrong button.

The misfire comes at an odd time for Bush foreign policy, at a time when Obama's campaign alleges the president is moving closer toward Obama's recommendations about international relations -- sending more U.S. troops to Afghanistan, discussing a "general time horizon" for U.S. troop withdrawal and launching talks with Iran.

Someone in the WH does know how to work a computer. A bunch of clowns in the WH. How could we let this happen? Let one of us not show up for a hearing after we got a supeona and see what happens. We will be in jail. This is really a special group of people in the WH.

Thank Gawd for trickle down imcompetance. As a political staffer myself, I don't think this was on purpose, although there have been a few brave souls in that cesspool we call DC.

Apparently, John McCain, who just learned of the existence of the internet last week, was supervising
the White House staffer who pushed the wrong button on his keyboard, thereby, exposing the
world to the latest example of Bush Administration incompetence.

This was no mistake. The one sane person in the WH hit that send button on purpose. Thank you, whomever you are!

I say the individual sent it to the media on purpose. They did not want the story to get hidden under the rug. Kudos for them.

Thank you thank you.

Obama is already making policy, and he hasn't even been elected yet. Just shows how badly they want some leadership in the WH, with W out riding his bike or attending T-Ball games.

Never before in the history of our Federal government have we seen such an elite group of incompetent people in one place , leave alone at the head of our government. The Bush-Cheney administration has mucked up just about every single aspect of American life except Social Security , and John McCain has his eyes set on that. ENOUGH!!!! And they have no idea of the damage they have done. They are oblivious to what shape the country is in. They are perfectly happy the way things are.

Is it incompetence, or is it deliberate sabotage? W is a known sociopath (blew up frogs with firecrackers as a boy, for example) who has destroyed just about everything he has touched. Maybe he is just destroying this country because he likes to see things burn.

Three things all serial killers have in common:

1. Cruelty to animals.
2. Bed wetting.
3. Arson.

No. 1 has been documented. No.3 is indicative of his foreign policy. And, No.2, well let's not go there.

Maybe the White House staff has problems using the 'internets', the Google' and the 'Emails'.

Seriously folks, this White House is so busy fighting against infighting, investigations, and bad news every day that they're too tired to be effective any more. Not that they were all that effective to begin with. I suspect that things will get worse for the administration as time goes by.
