Lieberman

On Fox News Sunday, Joe Lieberman said he would speak at the Republican National Convention if John McCain wants him to.

"I'm not gonna go to attack Barack Obama," Lieberman said. "I'm gonna go to explain why I, as an Independent Democrat, am supporting John McCain, hoping I can convince other Independents and Democrats to join me in choosing the man who is clearly more ready to be the president America needs."

Lieberman gained his credibility with Gore when he gave a speech on the senate floor admonishing the immorality of President Clinton for his affair with Monica Lewinsky. Gore was sure that the Clinton misadventures would kill his chances and he needed to distance himself, hence, for the campaign, Holy Joe on board, Bill Clinton overboard. Lieberman ran for both re-election to the senate and for vice president. He had a nice fall-back position, and, during the Florida recount, it was evident that his heart was not in the fight--he quickly and needlessly caved on the decisive issue of allowing military votes to be counted without the required dating and signatures, to avoid being accused of not supporting the troops.

He hitched his wagon to Gore, now he is hitching his wagon to McCain. When McCain loses, he will hitch his wagon to the next big thing.

He is gasping for a "political breath". Joe Lieberman realizes that he is toast. And like all desperate characters, he has to throw in his last ditch to see if the Republicans will retain him. And if I know the GOP well, they will use him (just for the convention) and then leave out out in the cold where he belongs.
I will ask Joe to give Zel Miller of Georgia a call and ask him what his experience with the GOP has been. Joe is a dishonorable man who was brought to limelight on the trust of many Democrats in Connecticut who have been voting for him over the years believing that he was one of them. Just because his LIVELIHOOD was challenged by the same voters in 2006 has brought out the worst in Lieberman. He is such a despicable character.

Take this for what it is worth knowing that I also hold Sen LIE_berman in utmost contempt. Sen LIE_berman has supported most of the Democratic initiiatives brought up in the 110th Congress. That fact cannot be denied no matter how much we hold him in disdain for his Iraq war views. It is all too easy to send him to hell in a handbasket for his war vote yet should we dismiss all the other pro-progressive agenda votes he favored? Think about it. Think about it at least until we have heavy Democratic balance in the Senate.

Really, he's just got to go. He ought to be stripped of all posts in the party. Let him be "independent."

What exactly is an "Independent Democrat" ? Is that a synonym for a "Republican Operative" ?

At the GOP convention, he could say bye-bye to his committee positions with the Democrats.

Judas Joe is a traitor.
Judas Joe is a traitor.

Considering that Judas Joe Lieberman was Al Gore's pick for VP, that was another of Al Gore bad decisions.

The biblical Judas was known to hang himself in the end.
How close is Judas Joe to following the wise final footsteps of his compatriot of another era? lol
