Washington Post   |   July 21, 2008 09:42 AM

President Bush was asked twice last week about Sen. Barack Obama. In response, Bush never used the Democratic presidential candidate's name.

As it turns out, Bush has uttered Obama's name only a handful of times since the senator from Illinois began running for the White House last year, according to a review of his public statements and appearances by Washington Post researcher Madonna Lebling.

The last prominent reference came during a joke at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner in April, when Bush quipped that "Senator Obama" was unable to attend because he was "at church." It was a reference to the candidate's troubles with his controversial former minister.

Obama has three syllables. That's a tough one for him.

It's funny now Republicans refer to Obama as "Savior" and "Messiah" where as Obama supporters do not. Perhaps Republicans know something we don't.

If Obama is the savior, what is McCain?

As a savior, does Obama get his inspiration from the holy ghost? If so, does that mean McCain get his inspiration with holy cow!

There is just no winning with you liberals. If a Republican uses name of the senator from illinois you get mad and if the President does not use it you get mad.

Yeah, that'll work. Nobody will remember the name of the first legitimate, African-American, Presidential candidate.

Excerpt from George Bush's diary, written in crayon of course:

"Today, I purposely DIDN'T mention YOU-KNOW-WHO's name in a press conference. Come November, they'll be like, "Barack who?" Good one, George.

Now if we could just make President Bush go away by no longer mentioning his name--that's an idea worth exploring!

Just like Daddy wouldn't say Bill Clinton's name. That strategy worked out well.

Speaking from a mans point of view...

Its hard to look the future in the face...when its bright strong confident and awe inspiring...especially

When you wont be or ever be part of that future...

the whole bush family couldnt hold a candle up to his pedigree...

wow i felt good after expressing that...

Bush is doing this for the same reason he never said Kerry's name. He reduces his opponent to a faceless entity who, with sweeping statements, the listener could superimpose any one they want. As well he would call Kerry the adversary, code for Satan in evangelical circles.

The "president's" insecurities are showing. The thought of O becoming a president with intelligence, ethics, morals and charm must be driving him crazy. He is acting as a very insecure person.
