O'Reilly: Gore Going To Netroots Nation Like Going To "Klan Gathering"

On Saturday, former Vice President Al Gore made a surprise appearance at the Netroots Nation convention in Austin, TX. In his speech, Gore praised the gathering of progressives, saying that they are part of an effort to "reclaim the integrity of American democracy."

While the attendees of Netroots Nation received Gore with enthusiasm, his appearance has caused Fox News's Bill O'Reilly to declare that Gore has "gone off the deep end."

On his radio show today, O'Reilly claimed that Gore was now associating himself with the most "hateful group in the country." "And I'm including the Nazis and the Klan in here," said O'Reilly." He then claimed that attending Netroots Nation was "the same as if he stepped into the Klan gathering."

This from a man who upon stepping into a restaurant owned by African Americans expressed his surprise that it was clean and had silverware just like regular people. One could say his mind is aboriginal, but it would be such an insult to that nobel group. How insulated does a human being have to be in order to reach Mr. O'Reilly's age and still maintain such a basic ignorance of life?

Bill only cares about Bill. If you watched the clip of his tirade at his stage crew on Inside Edition, you realize that this man is basically an unbalanced megalomaniac with just a veneer of charm. Say one thing, look the wrong way and he will go berserk. He's the proverbial loose cannon, and in any other endeavor or career would have failed because of his obvious character flaws. Thanks to Fox News, he's found a home and success!
