MLK Jr. was strongly opposd to the Vietnam War. Black soldiers died in relatively high numbers (as a percentage of total killed). Middle class and poor Americans do not benefit from war. Why would Black Americans go for a pro-war candidate like McCain? How different are Obama's numbers to Bill Clintons? Hillary Clinton's campaign choices helped Obama among Black voters.
