The Publisher's Lunch deal wire just lit up with word of a new Ron Paul book: a "memoir of his career in politics, revealing his encounters with the major political figures over the last thirty years, and those events that shaped him and made him the man and politician he is."

The book is hilariously titled The Revolution: A Memoir. It is a follow-up to his last one, The Revolution: A Manifesto.

I think the ones that laugh and pick fun at Dr. Paul's expense are secretly the ones that want to believe. Their brainwashed minds are programmed to take whatever this administration dishes out and when someone comes along and reminds them that this country is OUR country, their brains lock up. Time to reboot. Ron Paul is a Statesman. NOT a politician. The Evil that is our government now (Democrat and Republican- both) has caused great harm to the people's condition and now most are cowed into following the corporate status quo. I used to love Barack, Ron and Dennis. Now, it's only Ron and Dennis. The fat cats have gotten to Barack, I fear.

LOL.
I don't secretly want to "believe".
You want to vote (R)? Be my guest.
I'll be voting 3rd party.
wRong Paul could even have my vote if he went indie, but he's stuck on (R).
Boob Barr is out of the question.
Looks like it's Ralph or Cindy.

Perhaps you should check out Chuck Baldwin of the Constitutionalist party. It's ok, Dr P. hasn't endorsed him. Plus we know what a big fan of the constitution you are (wink wink.)

sometimes coming to huffpo is like going to redstate. same thought processes, but a cooler color.

alot of folks lose sight of history and just how very collective and purposeful the erosion of our sovereignty has happened. we have a plutocracy, dividing the votership with blue and red pills, meanwhile answering to the same international bankers and corporate elitists.

i contend that george w. bush has been the most successful president we've ever had. that is, if you define success to be the New World Order.

get ready for amnesty, troop shifting, more federal bursts and bubbles, higher taxes to include global taxes, north american union, real id, civilian police forces and many other attrocities that the Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act, FISA Act, elimination of habeas corpus have given rise to. don't fool yourself that these Acts will be repealed under an Obama Nation.

hmmph.

"sometimes coming to huffpo is like going to redstate"

Good observation, they hate/fear him there at much as they do here.

It wouldn't be a r3volution otherwise :-)

I like Ron Paul. He makes sense on monetary and international issues. Sure I disagree with him on a lot but at least I'll acknowledge where he's right.

we appreciate that. if you agree with him on those two issues, i would challenge that you probably agree with him on most of his philosophies. i say that because the two you agree with drive most others.

As I happen to be a Ron Paul supporter, and find a great deal of sense in his policies, I am a bit unhappy with being insulted for this support. What is it that generates such scorn and ridicule? Someone like McCain/Lieberman are pressing our nation into another "pre-emptive" war... The economy is getting worse, prices up, etc. Obama is a walking wish, torture is legalized, the Constitution violated, and when someone points these things out --WOW! Well folks, keep giggling.

Using that measure, in about 10,000 years, you will graduate to a stick and dust around your bare stupid feet. SillyKid would be a more accurate moniker.

You might be able to find this book at your local bookstore in the "Who Cares?" section.

The last book Ron Paul published, "The Revolution: A Manifesto," hit #1 on the NYT bestseller list in the nonfiction hardback section. Obviously, lots of people care.

1.2 registered republicans (of the conservative type). when people can't argue on facts or present solutions to persuade a change in thinking, they revert to name-calling and obfuscation. no worries pyrum, you will be handing out bread in the bread line.

Smaller government, free market capitalism. Wow what a "revolution."

Like we haven't heard that for the last 7 1/2 years.

Guess you didn't know what is being presented/practiced for the last 7 1/2 years as "free market capitalism" is not what it really is. Corporate welfare socialism is not free market capitalism. It's closer to fascism.

unfortunately you must have slept through most of that time, since federal spending, excluding the two wars, went up 60%.
