Mccain Ad

Two new ads from John McCain's campaign — one of which the campaign says will make it on air — show what they call the media's "love affair" with Barack Obama. The ads feature news personalities — including Joe Scarborough, Tucker Carlson, Lou Dobbs, and Howie Kurtz — discussing Obama-mania in the media, highlight now-infamous statements from the likes of MSNBC's Chris Matthews and NBC's Lee Cowan, and even bring back some Hillary Clinton supporters' statements of media bias towards Obama.

The campaign is currently featuring both videos on its website and asking users to vote to see which one makes it to air. Watch them both below (the only discernible difference is song choice, with the "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" version currently leading the "My Eyes Adored You" version by a considerable margin).

"Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" version:

"My Eyes Adored You" version:

Actually, the media was in love with Hillary Clinton. A Democrat that voted for the Iraq War. That's perfect.

Well, McCain just gave Obama the perfect counter to these vapid ads.

As reported on Huff Post - "McCain Gets History Of The Surge Wrong, CBS Doesn't Air Footage"

When will McCain and republicans admit that the press and voters do not have a blind love affair with Obama?

Those of us supporting Obama cannot envisage an additional four years of republican rule like the past eight years were the U.S. become an aggressor nation, were the economy deteriorated at an alarming rate, where ruthless thugs used every imaginable ploy to block the implementation of new energy technologies while destroying the environment with their polluting fossil fuels, where millions of citizens are not receiving a minimum standard of health care, and where all Americans have seen a reduction in our personal security specifically given to all citizens by the Bill of Rights of the American Constitution.

And, if Obama does not follow through and correct the above deficiencies, the electorate will vote him out of office in four years.

I'm no longer a Democrat or Republican. I am an American that wants my country to have not envy, but the respect of all Earth's citizens. My country will not invade a sovereign country based on lies and greed. My country will strike back if you attack it.

McCain is starting to look desperate. He is not that far behind in the polls (about 5 points) and still has 3 months with a convention and debates pending. However, he is acting like George HW Bush a week before his catastrophic defeat in 1992.

When he starts whining about the media coverage, which is ironic considering how they gloss over his many errors, and attacking Obama as defeatist and unpatriotic, he looks like a candidate running out of options. While Obama looks Presidential in Europe and the Middle East, McCain looks like someone hoping not to be embarrassed on election night.

I can't believe this was paid for by John McCain for President. If you're wondering what his chances of winning are, you can stop now.

XM Radio's Potus 08 played some of it, and I must say, it makes the MSM sound like utter morons.

As if editing couldn't do that to anyone. The ad is a joke and if Phil Gramm should call anyone a whiner it should be McCain. He's in his 70s and this ad makes him sound like a child. "Mommy, I'm not getting any attention. Why is my charasmatic younger brother getting it all? Wah!! Wah!!"

Give me a break. If McCain doesn't have anything but complaints about Obama and his pretty much brilliant campaign, he WILL get crushed. And actually I don't see him recovering from any of this. Obama is looking more presidential all the time and McCain is looking weaker everyday, especially in light of all the gaffes, policy "changes", distortions of his record and poor geographical knowledge.

Continued...

POOR MCCAIN—THE PRESS DID NOT COVER GRAMM’S CORRUPTIVE INFLUENCE.

They were too busy obsessing with Reverend Jackson (using the term Reverend loosely) desiring to cut Obama’s, shall we say, noogies off. Yeah, that liberal media has sure been sucking up to Obama.

And of course we must not forget the awesome adoring depiction of the Obamas in the New Yorker. Adulation in its highest form.

Let’s straight talk here; McCain’s accusations are utterly disingenuous. He has no problem with the press obsessing with Obama if it is negative press coverage; he only dislikes Obama’s positive coverage.

Face it; it hurts when you see picture after picture of a dynamic leader that can blow you out of the water with his EXPERIENCE in 21st century global communications.

And the fact that he can string a complex articulate group of words together without making a fool out of himself; wow! that sucks.

In addition, he has that unfortunate habit of instilling a confidence in people that he has listened, considered what their perspectives are, and weighed them in the context of America's interests. And—the trifecta—he leads; he is not manipulated and puppeteered by a bevy of corporate masters.

Yeah, that kind of main-street-media bias is quite unfortunate for you McCain. However, it is the audacity of hope for the American people.

Wow! Really? Ok, let me get this straight—it was the press’ adoration that obsessed for 6 weeks about the Obamas’ Reverend Wright “connection”, and it was the adoring press that went on and on about Obama being an elitist (code word “uppity”). Yes, I remember.

It was the adoring press that thought Obama was not black enough, and, oh no, too black—for after all—ALL THOSE BLACK PEOPLE WERE SUPPORTING HIM!! AHHHHHHHH…..

And it was the press’ adoration that tripped out about Obama’s use of the word of “revised” in the context of the Iraq war, and, oh lord, the adoring press exalted the fact that Obama voted with the majority of the Senate to pass a crappy FISA bill. Oh yes, the press LOVED that! Especially the LIBERAL press! And add to that the mega "terrorist fist bump" moment of our beloved Obamas--Wow! It doesn't get any better than that.

Then of course it was the adoring FAVORABLE press coverage that managed to obscure the realities of Phil Gramm’s insidious nasty corruptive influence on the McCain campaign.

I just read over the transcripts of Katie Couric with both Obama and McCain available on CBS website.

What I noticed is that all of Obama's questions were about his trip overseas. Not much mention of McCain at all, however, EVERY question posed to McCain was an opening for Obama bashing. Media bias, huh, McCain? Give me a break.

McBush seems upset. Be careful what you wish for; you have many, many, gaffes that have become a pattern which proves you are severly lacking in foreign policy experience. If that is not the case, you may be having some "mental" changes due to your age. Keep that temper in check. War hero yes, presidential material, NO. Oh, and jealousy does not become you; you were very, very, cruel today in attacking Obama. Give love and peace a chance. America is hope.

If the media really did their job, they would have reported on his attempt at being upbeat in yesterday's early rally where he seemed more like he was angry than just trying to be energetic. I finally realize why he talks so slow, when he gets excited, he falls all over his speech. It was actually funny to see him trip over his words so many times and many times in the same sentence. I noticed today that he was back to his usual demeanor.

Also, just once I would love to see that man actually give a direct answer to the questions that are directed at him during his famous town hall meetings.
