Obama Mobbed By Crowd Of GIs In Baghdad (VIDEO)

Barack Obama met with a crowd of cheering troops and State Department workers in Baghdad Monday night.

"So I don't care whether you are a Sailor, a Soldier, an Airmen, or Marine. A National Guard, a Reservist, active duty, we just want to say thank you," Obama said.

"Back home, as I travel all across the country, every single day I meet your friends, your family members, your co-workers, and the main thing they want me to communicate is how proud they are of you," Obama continued. "They may disagree on politics. They may disagree on the issues. But the country is absolutely united in the excellence, the devotion, the dedication with which you have performed your duties, here.

Say what you want about the war and what we are doing there, but there two positives about this:

Sadam is gone & the UN was exposed for the fraud they are.

I support the troops coming home alive, not in body bags.
I support the troops fighting to defend our freedom, not fighting to babysit oil fields.
I support sending the troops to fight as a last resort, not so the rich can make more money.

I support the troops having a commander in chief who knows the difference between asking them to make the ultimate sacrifice and asking them to be expendable pawns.

I support the troops for real, not as lip service.

I have never seen our solidiers so happy to meet with one of our politicians. I say if Obama gave them at least one reason to smile today--that's enough for me. I'm from a military family and I know how tough it is to be away from your family, especially in a dangerous war zone. Thanks, Barack!
