Obama Mobbed By Crowd Of GIs In Baghdad (VIDEO)

Barack Obama met with a crowd of cheering troops and State Department workers in Baghdad Monday night.

"So I don't care whether you are a Sailor, a Soldier, an Airmen, or Marine. A National Guard, a Reservist, active duty, we just want to say thank you," Obama said.

"Back home, as I travel all across the country, every single day I meet your friends, your family members, your co-workers, and the main thing they want me to communicate is how proud they are of you," Obama continued. "They may disagree on politics. They may disagree on the issues. But the country is absolutely united in the excellence, the devotion, the dedication with which you have performed your duties, here.

This is absolutely amazing. If anyone had any doubts how the majority of our military and those on diplomatic duty feel, this clip should speak volumes. In the words of the announcer-"this crowd is absolutely amazing". In all the photo opts of the present [P]resident and Sen. Mcc on their overseas trips I have never seen such crowds filled with enthusiasm as seen here. If the men and women who are laying their lives on the line ( the epitome of the symbol of patriotism) can recognize and appreciate this man as being their potential CIC, the rest of us need to recognize the truth.

I'm so glad he told them face to face how much he appreciate what they are doing and how we support them regardles of our personal feelings about this "war", they can rest assured that anything else they hear is only hype and bias. Way to go Sen. Obama, continue to represent the good in all of us.

after years of Clinton scandals followed by years of greedm ignorance and stupidity I usually have wanted to run to change the channel anytime and American leader must step on foreign soil. I wonder what embarassing thing they will say or will be said about them.

Pretty exciting to see an American look so good. He looks like he knows what he is doing. He listens to people. He isn't all full of his own importance. I think the guy sort of fills me with hope.

The MSM will keep harping on "tight polls" and trying to make this seem like a horse race just to keep their ratings up and advertising revenues rolling in.

But seriously.­.. how can anyone look at footage like this, and then look at footage of McCain on the campaign trail, and imagine that McCain could win in a million years?

I've had moments of discouragement. Obama has disappointed me at times. But his job is not to please me, it's to turn this country away from the self-destructive path it's been since the Reagan years (with some brief respite under Bill Clinton). I think he can do that job.

I really think he's going to win.

This is great. It seems that the excitement about Obama became somewhat muffled in the thick of the primaries. Maybe this was partly due to a lack of contrast in some areas between BO and HC... I don't know. But anyway, it's nice to see a return to the strong enthusiasm again. As much as BO's opponents want to discourage us from showing "too much excitement", we shouldn't let them stop us!

Our U.S Citizens overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan are excited to see Obama because he is the man who is going to get them out of there and bring that back home. That is what our troops want. It is evident from Obama's visit.
