BIll O'Reilly: "MoveOn Is The New Klan" (VIDEO)

MoveOn.org is a web-based progressive political organization and the latest target of Bill O'Reilly's Talking Points segment. During the segment the conservative talk show host accused MoveOn of promoting racism, before drawing comparisons between the organization and "the Klan."

Previously, MoveOn had made a similar accusation against FOX (with less severe comparisons) on their FOX: Stop The Smears page.

What's even funnier is that democrats do the same thing, but apparently (from your post) are completely unaware! Couple of examples: They insult the religious (while they vote for a Christian candidate) and they insult the poor and uneducated (thier very base).

Billy is one of the reasons our country is in the mess that it is now. He is a hate monger and I think he is damn proud of it. Who besides Rove sold the Iraq invasion better? A gentleman in my rural part of the country was asked to define the word liberal. His one word response could also be used to refer to a cat or a certain private part of a woman's body. When asked to define conservative, he used the word patriot. Good job Fox, you've successfully fullfilled your role as pace setter for the dumbification of America. Bill O'Reilly trying to associate moveon.org to the KKK is laughable. Bill O'Reilly is one of the worst spreaders of hate (next to Sean Hannity) to ever appear on any news program. He thinks he's Joe McCarthy. One of these days he'll slip-up big time and his bubble will burst.

Associating a group like MoveOn as being the new KKK is a hateful statement. Requesting the CIA take away the jokers at AirAmerica away in chains is hateful. Claiming that progressive secularists are trying to steal Christmas and lying through his teeth to convince his audience is hateful.
Hannity accusing Michelle Obama of hating her country based on one comment everyone else in the room got just fine, is hateful. Hannity constantly calls his political enemies names, accuses them of treason, etc. These are hateful statements.

One good thing that came from all of this is that I learned more about the KKK from wikipedia. Pretty interesting read. I never really knew anything more than it being a hate group. Interestingly, the article states that it was once a militaristic arm of the democratic party! How far we've come, eh? I think it's quite a stretch to say moveon is the new klan. Yes, and they all became Republicans when Democrats fought for the equal rights of black people in the south and President Johnson signed the voting rights legislation. To try to claim that Republicans have not tried almost everything to repress the rights of blacks in the south and beyond is laughable. They still challenge the right to vote of minorities across the country and try to enact legislation making it more difficult for people of color to vote.

It's just another example of Fox News racist views when they start to compare a terrorist organization like the KKK to moveon. To casually make such comparisons using terrorists thugs that murdered, burned, disenfranchised, and dehumanized a segment of our society is an attempt to rewrite history to make the Klan appear like they really weren't that bad.
