I Like ItI Don’t Like It

The images from Barack Obama's trip abroad have been, one might say, picture perfect. From the stern shot of Obama with Gen. David Petraeus to the somber photos from Israel's Holocaust Museum, one guesses that Obama's campaign couldn't be more pleased.

As for John McCain -- well, that's another story:

MONDAY

McCain in a golf cart with George H. W. Bush at Walker's Point in Kennebunkport, Maine:

TUESDAY

As oil companies announce their massive quarterly profits, McCain makes a campaign stop at Buxton Oil Inc.:

WEDNESDAY

McCain takes questions from reporters about a range of domestic and foreign policy issues -- in front of an aisle of cheese:

Then, via Jed Report, McCain holds an event in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and 900 of the 1600 seats in the auditorium remain empty:

The McCain camp is running around with their heads cut off because they really believed that Senator Obama was this inexperienced person who knew nothing. Senator obama might be a little inexperienced about national security, but he is willing to learn the things he dont know unlike McCain who thinks he knows everything and is not willing to except that he can use a little help himself .

He can always get a job restocking those grocery shelves when Cindy divorces him after he loses in November.

What good is a friend who turns on you? I once admired McCain, but he sold his soul to the devil, so that's the way it is.

Which one? The devil you know or the devil you don't?

I agree with your assessment.... McCain, in his pursuit of the powerful White House, has renounced and rejected the very principles that inspired many of us to admire him back in 2000.

Oh, *those two young uns are so purty! Ain't they, though? Specially in profile.* Yeah, hope for the future. Nothing says it better than the right image. :).

McCain seems to be running out of gas, no pun intended. His energy level is about on par with Fred Thompson, who for all the world looked like he was running for King of the Zombies. What was the point of that grocery store q & a session? Does he really want to draw attention to the ever-rising cost of food, another of the results of almost 8 years of his party being in power? What is he doing in Kennebushport with W.'s Papa Daddy? He should be avoiding anything Bush at this point, even Reggie Bush or Bush's Baked Beans. I suppose if the Bush Tetras get back together he'll be right by the stage. I smell a rat, this guy just isn't even really trying. The GOP has something up there sleeve. Cheney isn't going to give up all that power he fought so hard to steal and then have to run off to Dubai where there isn't an extradition treaty. Unless it's true that the Dems are just the flip side of the neocon coin and it doesn't mean a rats bush who wins. After watching Nancy Pelosi and my very own congressman Steny Hoyer the last couple of years, that could very well be the case.

Nope, the sad thing is that he actually IS trying. I just feel sorry for him at this point. It's not pleasurable to watch.

It's actually really tragic, if you ask me. He should have stuck with being a war hero. I wonder if he'll even make it to the convention without dropping out/being replaced.

Oh my God. You don't think Cheney will run again as Vice President, do you? What if he did, and Diebold hacks the computers again for him. It would be the end of the free world, or what's left of it. No, No!

It was brilliant (and somewhat evil) campaign strategy that got Bush elected twice, not political brilliance. Now McCain has the political brilliance of Bush, but is missing the Rovian campaign ferocity.

I see all these pictures and you know what I see? Windsurfing. Lots, and lots of windsurfing.

Bush, McCain political brilliance? You need to pass the Dutchy with the left hand man.

I'd say ruthless and shameless, more than brilliant. While he has some experience, shamelessness does not come naturally to McC. But he and his handlers are working on it.

It was more like corrupt election officials in Florida, hacked Diebold voting machines, and a Supreme Court straight out of Peacock, New Zuzu.

Not enough space to detail the illegal campaign tactics.

But except for Olbermann and perhaps Dan Abrams, the media won't show these images. That's why McCain can pretend he's upset with the lack of coverage. If they DID give him the same scrutiny as they give Obama, his poll numbers would be in the toilet. And it's clear they're covering for McCain by not covering him much, except on the rare occasion when they can show him in a favorable light.

well, I guess people will stop making jokes about McCain's age when the Repugs stop their innuendoes about Obama's "lack of experience" and race! Considering the state of the economy, the pictures are quite inappropriate. Two wealthy old men in their golf cart at a prestigious club!

McCain's plan is to tap Bobby Jindal and thereby 'botox' the ticket with an average age of just 54, while at the same time, capturing the exorcist special interests.

Geez, with a $100 million dollar fortune plus a yearly senatorial salary plus 100% tax free disability pension plus Social Security payments, you don't think he actually does his own shopping, do ya? That's what Consuela's for.

I am sickened also. Some people hate Senator Obama so much they would rather see America go to hell than to vote for Senator Obama. HOW SAD.

Its probably a message to #43 who always sneaks out and tries to take a joy ride drunk in his underwear. Why else would it point out that it belongs to #41?

I was more struck by the pathetic aspect of the old George Bush who has been destroyed by his son's disastrous 8 years.

Are you kidding? If anything, Junior's disastrous presidency has made his father look like the very model of sound policy and international diplomacy by comparison.

He truly looks like he'd rather be holed up on his ranch in Arizona than running for President! Looks like he's having severe second thoughts all the time.

The most important thing here is McCain IS LYING again about the true historical time-table of the Sunni Awakening ,the surge-which took place 6 months LATER-and the Shiites being bribed by our country!!! Yes, the surge helped -but OTHER factors helped too-AND McNUTS REFUSES TO GIVE THEM ANY CREDIT IN HIS RE-WRITE OF THE IRAQI WAR!!! ALSO...there is NO POLITICAL RECONCILIATION-JUST YESTERDAY THE KURDS STORMED OUT OF THE PARLIAMENT IN PROTEST OF NEW,RIGGED LOCAL ELECTION LAWS THAT LATER GOT TABLED!!!
