Scarborough Defames Bloggers Who Are Right On 'Surge'

For all of my ideological differences with the man, I've always appreciated the way MSNBC's Joe Scarborough has seemed to applaud and encourage people of all leanings to get engaged in the political life of the country. But I have to condemn his actions this morning, where he launched into an anti-blogger diatribe that was both defamatory and, even worse, cliched. Now, I'll admit that I, having long given up blogging from home (which too often led to shameful practices, like the watching of Judging Amy reruns on TNT), personally benefit from actually coming into an office, where I am encouraged to wear actual pants and am soothed psychologically by the clickety-clack of other people's keyboards. Still, the key difference between me and Joe Scarborough is that I am right on the "Surge" and he is wrong, and changing into my flannel footie PJ's isn't going to change that.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a bag full of crushed up Cheeto dust to mail to MSNBC's Manhattan headquarters.

I , too, was surprised by Joe's behavior this morning. He usually tries to hide his true feeling better than this. I blame it on the all Gooper panel make up this morning and Mika looked like she was out of it , so, not much help from her.

Umm he never tries to hidee his true feelings. He's carrying so much water for McCain it's a wonder his spine hasn't given out. Maybe it has. Joe always launches attacks with anyone who doesn't accede to his right wing drivel and wingnut viewpoints.

He had the audacity to lecture the entire African American population for a poll that said McCain only had 5% of their support. I wanted to throw my shoe right between his beady little eyes.

Why did Huffpost delete my earlier comment in which I related how Joe completely humiliated Vincent Bugliosi who was an invited guest on the show last week? They turned off Bugliosi' mic as JS blasted his opinions on Bush,and then panned the camera back to VB still talking, unaware micwas on. JS then scoffed, "Look at Bugliosi still talking!" He's a beligerent bully and a total jerk.

I used to have a little respect for you Joe, why don't you try laying the blame on McCain with his cycle of Daily Gaffe/Deny/Repeat.

Obama has made one big error, this on the Senate Banking Committee, while McCain literally does have one a day, and to make matters worse, he often makes the same mistake several times like his gems on Czechoslovakia & al-qaeda in Iran.

People like Scarborough expects fellow Americans to be open and democratic minded enough to respect the differing points of views from the candidates and commentaries by him and other newscasters however, he himself does not have what it takes to extend the same courtesy to bloggers or audience members who happen to disagree with him...

He's a pompous jacka$$. However, I wonder if he does that schtick on purpose since we bloggers get all po'd and the more responses he receives, the better their ratings are (or they think they are).

MSNBC's blog has many Joe-haters on FirstRead, too - however, everything I see one posting I think that someone at MSNBC reading those thinking "there's another one, and another one..."

well I do have to admit, I like to munch myself some Cheetos now and then, but only the full sized crunchy ones, not the mini ones which I suspect might be the left overs there at the Fritolay plant.
One caution when eating them is to wash your hands before typing your blog because you get that

Joe is just mad that people bothered to actually get the facts (i.e. look it up and tell the truth like he avoids when it is painful to him). The Google is a wonderful thing and facts are facts and neither his spin, Fixed News faux stories nor CBS's uncreative license will change the fact that Senator Obama, the inexperienced candidate, is spot on time and time again. He proves daily that good judgment trumps mega years of insider experience. In the end, fear will be the only weapon in their arsenal and the racists and clingers who make up their base will be all they have left. How poetic that their base is so full of the rejects and throwbacks America need to shed. The truth hurts, huh Joe? Long may the Cheetos crunch!

This morning he was taunting the "angry Obamamaniacs" who emailed and said that anyone who disagreed that the surge was the reason the situation in Iraq had mollified, AND ANYONE WHO STILL DISAGREED THAT IRAQ was a necessary war in eradicating terrorism was "stupid."
Great --he has just inflamed and labeled the 75% majority of Americans as well as most foreign policy experts as well as Sen Obama as stupid.MSNBC: Do not let your morning show be a Fox news show. Get rid of this arrrogant jerk!
