For all of my ideological differences with the man, I've always appreciated the way MSNBC's Joe Scarborough has seemed to applaud and encourage people of all leanings to get engaged in the political life of the country. But I have to condemn his actions this morning, where he launched into an anti-blogger diatribe that was both defamatory and, even worse, cliched. Now, I'll admit that I, having long given up blogging from home (which too often led to shameful practices, like the watching of Judging Amy reruns on TNT), personally benefit from actually coming into an office, where I am encouraged to wear actual pants and am soothed psychologically by the clickety-clack of other people's keyboards. Still, the key difference between me and Joe Scarborough is that I am right on the "Surge" and he is wrong, and changing into my flannel footie PJ's isn't going to change that.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a bag full of crushed up Cheeto dust to mail to MSNBC's Manhattan headquarters.

[WATCH.]

He could not even explain his idiocy. Normally he is much better at being an idiot.

Here is what I emailed to them this Moring

I am sorry Joe, you and Andrea Mitchell create your own story.

A memo to your brain, it clearly looks like Couric / CBS did manipulate the news on John McCain and there is simply no changing that; just as you do when ever you decided to come to work.

Here is the thing you have two videos from each candidate on CBS that are clearly distorting what each candidate is saying. You excuse the original version of John McCain’s interview because the one that was edited better served your purpose and you also do the same with Senator Obama original version because you lose your argument and now you have just been made to look like a fool because you thought the edited version of Senator Obama was going to be played on your show.

We all know that it is your job and Andrea Mitchell’s to coddle John McCain and to Destroy Senator Obama but what is frighten is that you two want this man, John McCain to be President when he is clearly incompetent.

You say, had the surge not happen things would be worst and I say had the war not happen we wouldn’t have 4,000 plus dead soldier so tell me Joe what would be your pick. Or better yet what would you tell their family.

He annoyed me by 6:03 am EST thus morning...so I switched to CNN...again......and I hate CNN. The show is much better when he's not there. How about Rachel Maddow in the morning instead? People that agree with the current morning host are watching Fox anyway.

That and he feels the need to talk over his guests. I ask why bother to have guests if you do this???

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 08:37 PM on 07/23/2008

That was what bothered me most when Joe still had his evening show (Dan Abrams is only SLIGHTLY better about it). Joe continues to step all over his guests' comments, and it totally drives me up a tree. I wish the majority of MSNBC show hosts would get a clue from Keith Olbermann. He is supremely considerate of his guests -- I can't remember him ever cutting one off.

Clueless Joe is the biggest idiot on Morning TV however the show does brings on great guests.

Take for instance, General Wesley Clark, who gave Clueless Joe a lesson on what the surge is and what it is not. This morning Joe kept asking, over and over, if the surge was a success. General Clark said (over and over) that the so-called surge is just one of the reasons for the drop in violence. Clark credited the Saudis for the Anbar (Sunni) Awakening and Iran (which must have pissed Joe off) for brokering the cease fire w/ al Sadr. That wasn't good enough for Joe because he was obsessed with looking for the General to admit that the surge was the all important reason for the drop in violence. Not so, according to Clark. Additionally, the troops were deployed in Bagdad. So if there is a reduction in violence all over the country, how can you credit the so-called surge as the only measure of success?

Clueless Joe, you weren't good enough to get reelected, how did you get on TV???

It's amazing he had the gall to tell a 4 star general he had his facts wrong. Must have been channelling Dumsfeld.

The ONLY reason Joe Scumborough is still on MSNBC is because he IS

irritating which brings emails into MSNBC. (RATINGS!)

The best way to get rid of the Scumbag is to NEVER EMAIL HIS SHOW

NO MATTER WHAT HE SAYS!.

Ratings? The only time the show moved up in the rating is when he was not on the show…

The entire time he was out on maturity leave the show went up in the rating. I doubt if there still high.

Joe won’t leave MSNBC and you know why he is a coward. He knows the moment he leaves Keith Olbermann and Dan Abrams is going to show him a new meaning to fox news.

Keith is not going to hold back and Dan Abrams will finally do what should have been done along time ago, investigate the lady that was found his office.

Enough with the "surge" already. Somebody define "success." It seems we keep changing the definition of that word to puff up and celebrate each desparate move we are forced to make as we must deal with an impossible mess entirely of our own making in this bloody stupid war of choice. This "surge success" was made necessary by the greatest failure in the history of American foreign policy and we remain much weaker and at greater risk as a result of the original action. I'll make a deal. Anyone may call the surge a "success" if they admit the Iraq war policy "failure" and the stupendous error of our reckless decision to invade in the first place.

I was awakened this morning by Mumbling Joe screaming, " the surge, the surge", to respected General w. Clark. I dashed to the TV, turned it off and headed for my pc. I sent out an email to mumbling joe requesting that if he wanted to work for JM he should go to johnmccain.com to spew his talking points for the day. I t appears that most rebubs think that if they say it louder, it must be true. I dispise the Mumbling Joe show, and wish MSNBC would replace it with a show with Rachael Maddow. Mumbling Jow should open his show every am with a disclaimer stating:
"I'm Joe Warbarough and I approve this ad, oops, I mean show!"

NOT THIS TIME!

I watched it in the beginning, and I still do now and then. It so happens I did see Joe hammering Wesley Clark today, the typical buffon right winger shouting match of one. Boring and predictable.
Does the Cheetos statement make Joe an elitist? Guess so.
Whjile we are on the subject, for the hundreds of Republican millionaires and corporate gazillionaires to call ANYONE an elitist, is pretty funny. I am sure none of them want to hang out with the unemployed auto worker.
Joe Blow. Boring. Mike and Willie? Yes. Harold Ford? Yes. Joe? No.

Joe is arrogant every time I happen to catch this morning show. Yesterday he had Gen Wesley Clark on and Joe kept interrupting him and would barely let him get a word in edgewise. Why invite people to discuss issues if your not going to let them talk?
